Nova is back. We're not talking about Sam Alexander. Well, he's coming back too. We've always thought he was cool, so we can dig him not going away anytime soon. When we say Nova, we mean NOVA. That one guy you started thinking was never coming back. There's a new series coming and it's going to be pretty rad.

Marvel gave us an exclusive first look at Pasqual Ferry's variant for the first issue and James Stokoe's variant for the third. Check them out.

Awesome. :) After Bendis ruined the end of The Thanos Imperative by making the entire ending not make sense I've wanted Rider back since there was no point keeping him dead when his awesome perfect sacrifice ending was all muddied up.

Why isn't Dick Rider listed as one of his aliases on his wiki page? Its perfectly valid! ;)

TBH Bendis (and Humphries) has pretty much ruined the whole Cosmic Marvel -Mucking up with Nova doesn't weight much in that catastrophe. Without Ewing's Ultimates being a success we wouldn't have even a single properly Cosmic title in print at December.

Curious to see how Richard Rider is revived. His death was pretty cheap so let's hope his rebirth isn't. I hope he still has the collective power of the Nova Corps as well as the Xandarian Worldmind. This Nova is one of the strongest cosmic characters in the Marvel Universe.

I don't know anything about the Novas so I'm excited to learn more about this.

You do realize that without Geffin and DnA's work on Nova, there wouldn't have been an amazing Cosmic Marvel for Bendis and Humphries to lay waste to don't you? So, yeah kind of a big deal that on top of all the other stuff they trashed, Bendis screwed up Nova and the Thanos Imperative.

Funny thing is, Sam helped get me into comics and understand Marvel much better, but after getting in and digging deeper, I actually like Richard better. Doesn't hurt that I'm a big Dan Abnett fan too

Hmmm. I don't know how I feel about this. He's my all time favorite character, and he has a very heroic ending. I want him back, but I'm nervous about him coming back into Sam's book. It just doesn't have the right feel for Nova at the point where he was left off.

If they'd give Rich something more like his classic suit without all those horrible pointy things coming off of him, I might pick this up down the road. I liked cosmic Marvel as a kid, but these new comics seem to try and be too edgy. They did the same thing with Quasar before he was replaced....

Glad Rider is back. Really enjoyed DnA's solo series from 2007-2010.

Richard Rider was one of the most epic characters during the Annihilation/War of Kings/Thanos Imperative era back in the late 00s/early 2010s.

Great to have him back.

Now if Marvel could go back to creating epic space dramas, and focus less on the cartoonish version of the Guardians of the Galaxy I'd be set.

I really tried to like Sam as Nova, but i just couldn't. Sam and his story has nothing on Rich.

This could actually be huge. Nova could join the Annihilators again. And if Rich is back, the frigging world mind is back (Oh god i missed the these guys) All the epic team ups.

Plz Marvel get back into space ala Thanos imperative/ war of Kings/ Annihilation. Those where the golden days of comics imo!
