Wolverine is a brilliant strategist, he just tends to lose it some times...
Anyway, I still liked Cage as a leader type. I think his personality is too big to follow Bucky, and Bucky too much of a loner to be an Avenger, regardless of how good or bad either are at the job. Even in issues covering Bucky's past life as an Invader have him off doing his own thing half the time.

Wolverine isn't a brilliant strategist.No doubt he's good but he's nowhere near Cap in that department.
Anyway,..Cage is a horrible leader and has been even when he was the leader of Heroes for Hire.Misty Knight is so much better as the current leader.Bucky is a natural leader..not really a loner he just seems that way because of his Winter Soldier persona.Bucky has been on teams since he was a teen...he showed leadership qualities and intellect in battle even then.The only reason Bucky did his own thing during the time he was an Invader is because that was his job..he was the sneak around guy...the spy.Kind of hard to slit someone's throat when they see you coming.
Cap also wasn't always the leader of the Avengers. Wasp was for a while (for some reason). As was Captain Marvel (PHOTON) while Cap was there. Or at least back then they called them 'chairmen.'
Meh, I'll have to wait to read it before I am convinced that Cap is a good addition to the team. Although I do think that it may be time for Luke to part ways.
I still think that Wolverine is a brilliant strategist. Though I never claimed he was anywhere near Steve Rodgers, I think he is about on par with Bucky.
