Yesterday we had a first look at AVENGERS VS. X-MEN #0. We saw Scarlet Witch fighting MODOK in front of the White House. Today Marvel has released another look, this time with a few more pages.

This time, we get to see a confrontation between Hope and Cyclops.

Its just like I suspected...I really am starting to think Hope is the cause of the conflict between Avengers and X-Men. Geez, can she act any more douchey than she has shown here? Seriously.

@Crimson Eagle: It absolutely is. After they messed up last time with Wanda they're going to come down hard on Hope, which is surely a threat, and the other X-Men arn't going to stand for it. That's gotta be it. What else could it be?

I'm sorry, I just can't get over that cover. Why would they cover up all of Frank Cho's beautiful work with that terrible logo?

@BlackArmor:Yeah, his mouth is drawn weird and he's really thin. The way Scott is drawn is usually a hit or miss with me. Overall, it's looks good.

Mutant Messiah my butt ... pampered, self-righteous adolescent with a HUGE chip on her shoulder hits closer to the mark. Don't much care for the character. Cliche with little depth.

Yawn.

A little Pheonix force may do her some good. Have her turn on the cosmic police transmitter, fly off somewheres never to return. The end.

cyclops will send some people to follow her After cable beats up the main team of avengers & dies the Avengers try to figure out why he did it they see that he mentioned his daughter hope so they turn there sites to her... shes outside being a super hero the avengers show up to take her in so see what all the fuss is about the x men step in they talk about cable a fight happens & the event starts... at least thats my theory

Cyclops' neck is WAY too large in a few panels there.

I wonder if this is what Bishop was trying to prevent? Any one wonder how things wouldve been if he had succeded in killing Hope?

Poor Cyclops, always getting his arse handed to him by redheads...heh

I am not the biggest summers fan but that was uncalled for and I cannot wait until hope dies, she is such a b****. Bishop was Right.

Ha, Cho is terrible at drawing Cyclops, but yeah this looks interesting. Hopefully (no pun intended), Cyclops and Hope can finally come to terms with the drama.

Scott views Hope as family, but she thinks he's overprotective. If this event does anything decent, let it be Hope accepting her potential to preserve the future of mutant-kind.

He's resistant, but not immune.

This actually has me really excited. Not sure why. And why is cyclops always geared up whenever hes on panel? Doesn't he ever change into civilian clothes just to relax...

Never have I wanted someone to die in a comic book than I do with Hope. Nightcrawler had to sacrifice himself for her? Really? It's sad that she's only a teenager and the last few years of X-books have revolved around her.

That was an interesting convo, pretty well written.

Hope was written beautifully in Cable's series after Messiah Complex and in Second Coming, I really wish they would bring her back to the awesome character Swierczynski had developed, nurtured and created. Hopefully it'll come back to that full circle in AvX, it would be a damn shame to waste an amazing character like this by writing her constantly as a hotheaded brat.

Frank Cho needs to draw everything ever.

its all hope's fault and.... Cable died in vain cause he was brought back for something he wasn't really sure was going to happen and Jean is not entirely dead, the S.W. created Hope after the no more mutant stuff as a sign of salvation for mutants but she's not really hope, she's some crazy amalgam of a human baby and jean and the phoenix force and the S.W. powers and that's why she's so God dawn powerful and Cy suspect it and that's why he is so over protective and logan has no clue of where the toilet paper is and they're gonna fight cause she went loco and Avengers most stpo her but X-men don't want to help stop her the way she's gonna be stopped and the S.W says she knows what to do and avengers don't trust her, except for Cap who's gonna doubt about all of it, and Cy knows he has to stop Wanda but she's a mutant so is X-men fight for Wanda and Avengers fight for Hope, or maybe it was just one of Deadpool's dreams, now who's gonna troll me this time? is it gonna be BB? I can handle him :P okay maybe my theory is just some crappy things I wanted to happen but .... seems legit 0; right? :P

Not necesarly Land, although he does a solid Cyclops, but he looks like the leader of the strongest hero team when drawn by him, Pacheco, Dodson among others.

Cyclops looks old and malnourished. What's that about?

What is all this bull crap about Hope being the mutant messiah. Wanda is back and in her right state of mind and with her powers back. There's your mutant messiah Scott, not some bratty phoenix-incarnate redhead kid. Wanda already wants to repower any mutants that want their powers back so just shoot Hope into space and let Wanda do her work in peace.

Eh, I don't think that they need to get rid of her. I think that they just need to get back to the root of the character. Have you read the Cable series? My god, it was fantastic and she was a truly interesting character. Swierczynksi is an amazing writer. However, it seems that ever since she's gotten back to the present, her personality has done an extreme warp.

I knew this event would have something to do with a jetpack. Superhero's bicker over some pretty silly things.

So hope begin to understand that since her birth she was useless ?

She never used her power, killed cable, is the cause for most of the recent attack against the mutant, the scarlet witch is back and hope is only here for the return of jean grey.

Is wearing a cloak while flying a jetpack really the smartest idea? Seems like a bit of a fire hazard, and makes me think of that scene in The Incredibles: 'No Cloaks!'

I can't wait to get into this one. Any good recommendations to read to get caught up on the X-Men side of things?

wow!!! i cannot wait for the new teasers to come.....i hope the AvX arc will turn out to be good and interesting....i like how he draws Hope...As for Scott, well.....kinda ok but.....scott should be attractive right?
