Both Peter J. Tomasi and Mikel Janin are excellent comic creators. This storyline was really good. I can't wait for the finale.

I'm gonna miss this superman outifit. It was by far my favorite.

I still don't get how they can kill Superman but still I'll tag along.

Damn, it must be a long time since I checked in on Superman, last I remember seeing of him he'd lost his powers and yet had all his powers and was a new god.

Who's the other Superman? Is that pre-52 Superman? He found his way into new 52 after that thing with Braniac and all the different universes, right?

Ok so they at least are going to cater to the Superman/Wonder Woman fans in the last issue of this Superman. Isn't that guy a form of the Eradicator, I am saying this because of the description that he was hit by bolt of sentient energy.

@FLSTYLE: If you mean on the cover wearing the black and with the beard, then yes. That is pre-new 52 Superman that's been in the Lois and Clark mini-series that has been going on.

Is it just me, or does Batman got boobs on that cover?

it is a shame the times I was most interested in the New 52 era Superman was when he was depowered and now...dying.

I am REALLY going to miss the suit though

@FLSTYLE: That was a confusing time, basically there were several stories going on between the Superman line and Justice League, in Superman he was almost depowered and everyone knew he was Clark Kent and in Justice League, he became the God of Strength and was drenched in black for some reason.

Yes that's Pre New 52 Superman as well, he got brought into the New 52 universe from the aftermath of Convergence (that thing with Brainiac and all the other realities)and had secretly been around for 7 years back when the Justice League first fought Darkseid.

I feel this is both detrimental and pointless. Pointless because the romance is going to be flat out ignored by writers such as Jurgens and Rucka who both wouldn't depict Superman and Wonder Woman having a romantic connection. And detrimental because it paints this version of Superman as mellow and ineffective at establishing personal connections and relationships, something Superman is supposed to be good at.

As for the Eradicator, he's supposed to be the first antagonist of Tomasi's Superman Rebirth volume so I'd have thought he was saved for that.

Maybe the energy bolt leaves this character and becomes completely sentient or something like that.

You know that makes sense, I could see that happening.

If the energy infected the guy...doesn't that mean using the Solar Flare would have it leave him ? I mean we saw already how draining the Solar Flare is. Also it caused this whole trouble to begin with. I am scared that this whole Solar Flare/Energy business might turn into something like the Symbiote from Marvel...where it will travel from person to person as host..

How so? I've never heard anyone describe N 52 Clark as "mellow".

He is dying because of

1. Kryptonite exposure during the event of Savage Dawn when he gets his power back.

2. Exposed to the fire of Apkolips during The Darkseid War.

3. During his fight with Rao.

These are the 3 things how it corrupts his body

too much thing gonna happen in one issue. I hope he could handle with balance. And because of this (we are still where we are from Superman 51) the real final happen in the Dc Universe: Rebirth , just a thought

@kiba: When the New 52 started, he was definitely mellow. He was all bummed out about Lois sleeping with that other reporter, Jonathan Caroll I think his name was. There's also a page in Justice League #9 where Lois and the Daily Planet staff all go out to lunch and Clark just sits in the office alone eating a sandwitch, flashbacking to when he was last picked for a sports game. Seemed mellow to me.

@harun_kurnaz: This is supposed to be the final so whatever happens to New 52 Superman should happen in this issue and it makes sense since in the few pages we have seen for DC Rebirth Batman is looking at pictures of New 52 Superman so he might be remembering him.

@lvenger: I guess that's true. When I think of him I mostly remember him choking out Batman for no real reason and whatnot.

@stellar421: I think the trades for Truth are coming out soon or might be out now. But it's definitely not the best Superman story just to give you a heads up, most posters on the CV Superman boards didn't like it. At all.

Yeah, I'm not gonna lie, I REALLY hope Denny Swan doesn't kill Superman. Like, say what you will about the New 52 Superman, I think he deserves better.

Also, it just occurred to me: The Earth 0 of the New 52 is called Prime Earth... ... ...Dear sweet Lord, Denny Swan is the new Superbitch Prime. lol

at the end Super powers will flow into someone else who happens to be standing by.

Upset they are killing new 52 Superman. Will miss him :(
