Not a fan of the art.
I would read this is it wasn't for the terrible art.
@infamous_wolf: yes, why do you ask?
Not a fan of the art.

Y'all are tripping.
@dagmar_merrill: agreed. I love the art, but to each his own

Nope. I still read it, but that arts got to go.
I guess you would prefer the generic crap you get at DC? Ah well to each their own for art atleast your not so ignorant to not read a great comic over art like @allstarsuperman the art is great and fits the comics it's just a different art style.
The comic is great none the less Iron Fist number 1 was like the best comic that came out that week so can't wait to pick up number 2.
The art is amazing. Excited for this to come out, one of my favorite new titles. At least the first issue gave me that impression lol
It feels like this author is taking all the mythos and ideas the Immortal Iron Fist created and is spitting on it. Killing off pretty much the only strong female in Kun Lun without much thought, having ANOTHER Davos revenge story, which has been done to death, and the idea that the IMMORTAL dragon is going to die in order to become immortal in death, even though it's been establish that the dragon dies when faced by the new Iron Fist, only to be reborn when the next candidate appears? I can kind of understand why the chi is being shared with everyone, as the new Yu-Ti is more benevolent, but it sort of defeats the purpose of having an Iron Fist then, if everyone has the Chi that gives him power.
I think the art is great, but what I've seen from this series story-wise more or less ignores all the mythos that came before for the sake of having a depressing, dark, and occasionally action-filled story with no real basis.
This isn't the Danny Rand I know... more like Danny Bland.
I'm going to read this but:
Aren't the people of Kun-Lun long lived anyway? I don't see the point in dividing the chi of shou lou for everyone to use. Takes away the point of the IF.
that is incredibly disrespectful to just kill shou lou. I feel like Lei Kung would never do something like this. He has more respect for the dragon than nearly anyone; and even if he didn't he know that it is a custom better left untouched. please don't make lei kung look bad in this story.
Davos is tripping as usual. Can't we get a team up or something?
Immortal Weapons should come back too
Oh YAY!! I loved Immortal Iron Fist and the Living Weapons. I also loved when Shang Chi was fighting along side them during Spider-Island. He should become a new weapon. Like Iron Fist should ascend to The Thunderer's position, and SHang Chi could become the new Iron Fist. Or hell have two, it's happened before. Or he could be the new weapon for the Cranes.

What does this have to do with Dc? I can't share (MY) opinion? The hells wrong with you, you're acting like it's your art.
Because it's that mindset on hating on good art just because it's a different style that DC keeps doing the same generic art. Marvel is actually giving us variety if the art was bad i'd understand but the art is great it's just a different art style.

How is it hate? I don't like the art, i'm not going to kiss a$$ something i don't like. You keep mentioning Dc like i said their art is superior to Marvel's. We both have different opinions.

Generic art?
@twix_right_side: Agreed
Guys, can we PLEASE not fight on the thread of a preview page of an awesome Marvel book.
I freaking hate that every time I go into a Marvel/DC thread/video,no matter how awesome the characters (I personally prefer Marvel, but that's just my preference) that there's always some sorta fight. You guys are just laying down the seeds. Can we not?
Are you kidding the art at DC is unbelievably generic. Some exceptions like Green Arrow or some of Batwoman for majority is the same art style and it is the most generic art style in comics.
Really? Cliff Chang, Greg Capullo, Francis Manipul, Tony Daniel, Dustin Nyugen, Pat Gleason, Jae Lee, Jason Fabok, Andrea Sorentino?
The art at Marvel is just as generic for the most part. A good chunk of their lineup follows that same cartoony Pichelli/Immonen style.
@hyperlight: @twofacedjoker: I'm just going to point out that Sho Lao dieing and feeding chi to the tree of life is how it's always been done, that wasn't invented in this book. Also we don't know if the Blue Eyed Servant Girl is dead yet but I will be pissed if she is.
@jonny_anonymous: I know I just thought that it is wrong to unnaturally kill shou lou or use his chi for their own purposes. Side not: isn't Iron Fist one of the dopest marvel characters ever?!
This is my first time reading an Iron Fist comic, and I'm really intrigued by the mythology of it all. Loved the first issue - looking forward to this one.
This is my take on this book. I'm impressed with the pacing of the story as well.

If you two want to get deeper into the Iron Fist mythology, I'd recommend Matt Fraction's fairly recent Immortal Iron Fist run.
