@wr3h: They never have and never will!

Also I almost thought that cover said The Rise and Fall of Anna Kornikova, and was subsequently bumfuddled for a few seconds.

Another Dejah miniseries after White Apes?  This is awesome, I can't wait.  Also the main series of Dejah is looking really good right now after that weak last story arc.  Someone go read it already.

Man Sonja strangling that woman looks great on that one cover! And that cover for Ennis' Red Team has such a Boondock Saints vibe to it. Love it!

Ever seen john carter, Hercules (some versions), He man and as well as Conan?! because they are great warriors and fight well in their skimpy fur coats or even dare to be completely naked. Red Sonja and dejah thoris are revealing but not really sexual so these comments make me laugh when ever someone bitches or complains about lack of clothing or armor. Clearly a lot of people don't get the term heroic nudity or not familiar enough with these characters too well. Dejah thoris is naked in the original texts of Edgar rice Burroughs classic mars series. Sonja believes that she is more comfortable and quicker with her body having some degree of exposure that she said in the books. So understand and be more mature man oh man.

Give me John Carter. Warlord of Mars is far better than Dejah Thoris, I swear that woman is just as bad as princess peach.

@foolkiller1: No man, you said exactly how I felt when I saw all the posts this time. I get annoyed with so many people continually complaining about Dejah Thoris and Red Sonja and Vampirella. Hello, but the latter two have always appeared in their current attire since the 1970's. It may not appeal to some people but it is just comic and fantasy art.

@Decept-O: No kidding, and fantasy art has always been risque. Just look at anything Frank Frazetta or Milo Manara has done.

hell I think Frazetta even created Vampirella's costume.

@foolkiller1: You're absolutely right. I think Forrest J. Ackerman created Vampirella but I am not certain if he or Frazetta came up with the costume design. Frazetta DID draw Vampirella frequently.

Milo Minara, well, he's done more X-rated fare than anything, even with Heavy Metal comic magazine. Frazetta did a lot of nudes as well, but nothing really X-rated in terms of sexual content like Minara.

That aside, the comic books posted in this thread are aimed at a male audience. Plenty of comics are. Just wished we could enjoy them for what they are. Yes yes and yes, Dejah Thoris, Red Sonja and other female characters are sporting skimpy attire. It is just some people are expecting them to be "real" or their anatomy somehow to be absolutely perfect. They're DRAWINGS.

Oh well, worse things to get worked about. I think we should just ignore it all and just enjoy them for what they are!

That Jennifer Blood cover is great. It really stands out for some reason. I have no idea what, but it's just a cool cover.
