Havent really read anything with the DCU Frankenstein in it, but have heard he is a bit of a Hellboy ripoff (at least as he appears in Flashpoint and the new relaunch).

Is it just a coincidence that, so far, no comics are coming out on September 21st, or am I forgetting something?

Other than that, my to-buy schedule seems pretty spread out :]

These actually look like some of the more promising books of what I've seen so far.

I wonder if now that a new Resurrection Man series is coming out if they'll finally release the old stuff in trade.

Supergirl, Blue Beetle and Legion of Superheroes are all scheduled for the 21st. It is easily the least solicited week, though I suspect that will change.

Also does anyone else find if funny that Demon Knights stars Etrigan and that Etrigan was once voiced by Billy Zane star of the film Demon Knight?
No? Guess it's just me then.

Seven Soldiers is really good. Frankenstein is a Grant Morrison creation. The original series didnt feel like Hellboy but this new status quo kind of feels like it.

It's funny how Cyborg is being mentioned in the same vein as Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman... 20 bucks says Zatanna and Constantine hook up...

The cover to Animal Man is awesome...

I'm picking up Demon Knights..cool premise

Frankenstein reminds me of Hellboy for some reason...I'll give it a try at first...

Before anyone starts complaining about Vertigo characters interacting with the mainstream DC heroes - this sort of stuff used to happen quite often in the early days of Vertigo, the Justic League for example made guest appearances in both Neil Gaiman's Sandman, and Alan Moore's Swamp Thing

@aztek the lost: Ive lost faith in anything Vampire, but it doesnt look like this is one of those kind of books. This book looks like its being made to more introduce different kinds of supernatural kind of species into the DC universe. I feel like it could have been made the same if the vampires were demons. Comic people dont really like vampires but im hoping they give it a chance.

Cyborg? Really? I just don't understand this fascination with Cyborg....It really needs to be a trio. No good will come from shoe-horning Cyborg in.

I, Vampire looks really cool & Andrew Stanton is the name of the Pixar director who made Finding Nemo and WALL-E. That's the first thing that popped into my head when I read the description, Lol.

In the past Deadman can barely keep a mini series afloat yet he is going to be in three titles now??? Justice League Dark, DC Presents and probably Hawk and Dove since he is dating Dove. They sure are making some bizarre decisions.

@pikahyper: DC Universe Presents will cover various characters, with Deadman just being the first one. He's a natural fit for a dark/supernatural-themed Justice League imo. And I doubt he's anything more than a supporting character, if at all, in H&D. Keep in mind that he was virtually the protagonist of BD, which would mean more people know about him now.

ya I know DC Universe Presents is an anthology but they seem to be leading with Deadman. He has been used more because of Brightest Day and Wednesday Comics and to some extent the Batman: The Brave and the Bold animated series but historically he hasn't been very successful, even a Vertigo revamp wasn't able to jump start him.

@pikahyper: Hmm, perhaps you're right. DC's taking a lot of risks this time though. Apart from that one minor appearance in BD, Resurrection Man hasn't been relevant in years, and his solo series hasn't even been collected yet. I'm thinking that leading with Deadman won't be too much of a problem, but only because of the BD stuff.

@Adnan: without a doubt tons of risks, I'm not bagging on Deadman though I've been a big fan of him since the early 90's and nobody has drawn him better then Kelley Jones. Resurrection Man is more obscure but his appearances in Supergirl back in 2008 were pretty popular as well as his appearance in DC Infinite Halloween Special, I'm a huge huge Resurrection Man fan, got all the original issues as they came out, I'm sure they will start putting trades out for his old series by the end of the year and not having trades of a series doesn't mean much with DC, they are missing trades for lots of popular stuff. They never finished Hitman, the Lobo ongoing, the Demon ongoing and there are still chunks of Hellblazer uncollected.
