NEW RULES THAT I FORGOT TO POST AT THE BEGINNING OF THE FORUM:
- Mjolnir wielders get asgardian physiology
- GL wielders get a battery TO KEEP-(this is the last adjusted rule)
- SORRY TOTALLY FORGOT TO PUT THIS HERE
The ring is more powerful to someone with incredibly high willpower, but I think to the average person Mjolnir would be better, assuming you could lift it.

That's kind of the thing. I KNOW I've got good willpower and a creative mind, but how on earth can I even begin to consider myself "worthy" of Mjolnir?

I'd still go for the ring. Assuming I exist in my own life with no other super powered people, I can hide a ring way easier than I can hide the hammer and can do things stealthily with it. Unless it can be disguised as a cane like in the old school comics, but again, it's way easier to carry a ring indiscreetly than a walking stick that transforms into a big hammer. The ring would just be more fun to me.
Hm... Given that I don't have a great deal of willpower unless I put my full attention to a task (which is extremely rare), I'd prefer Mjolnir. Though I don't know how useful it would be. Without Asgardian physiology to back up Mjolnir's abilities, I'd be pretty vulnerable. I couldn't even fly too high or too fast without getting ripped apart by air friction or dying of frostbite. Especially since the core of Thor's abilities comes not from Mjolnir, but his Asgardian traits: His strength (Boosted by his belt of strength), incredible durability, his godblasts, lightning/thunder control, etc. While Mjolnir provides greater focus for his weather powers and god blasts, he's capable of the godblasts and world shattering attacks on his own, Mjolnir's just the tool he uses, since it's powerful enough not to shatter from his strength.
... Whoops, started ranting again. My bad. Long story short: I'd be useless with both.

Actually, no, you made a solid point. I thought the ring because overall it has the potential to be the more powerful weapon, now I think the ring bacause Mjolnir would just lead to me killing myself, lol.
Didnt consider that...

An excellent point. Green Lantern ring all the way!
GL ring, we all have untapped reserves of willpower to use.
But with Mjolnir I would be completely vulnerable to attack from bullets or other projectiles.
With the GL ring I am far more flexible and able to fight.

@matmatxm8: Okay...But still, atomic flare, life essence drain, godblast, etc, are still powerful abilities.
The Ring runs out of energy, sometimes its like a crap cellphone....you always have to recharge

I think the OP just assumes you are.
Mjolnir only if I become Thor, Ring otherwise. Me with ring would be much more powerful and safer as it could protect my frail form. It would also be easier to conceal. Can't walk around unobtrusively with a 15 pound magical maul. Government would find out right away and take it away from me. A fancy ring would make me look slightly metrosexual.
its funny how everybody that wants a ring is fearless now but not in real life anyway give me the power of thor

That story was filled with PIS. The rings are coded to the wearer so they can't be stolen.

I have the right to reserve my freedom to choose which powers should I want to GODDAMN choose
So wait, let me get this straight. We can just say that those who pick Mjolnir are automatically worthy AND get Asgardian physiology to go with it, but the people that pick the ring are still stuck with their respective mental restrictions such as fear and lack of creativity? How is that even a fair choice?
If it takes place in the real world I'd take a ring but if it takes place in the dc?/marvel universes Id take Thor dealing with the guardians would be such a pain
The Green Lantern ring. Sure it may not be as powerful as Mjolnir, but the practical aspects tend to make me lean toward the ring.

this
Let's all admit it, if people got a power ring, a large majority of the males would spend a lot of time in their rooms with ring projections...
