Team 1. Spidey can solo

Depends whether Cyke is allowed to take his visor off or not. If he can then Cyke solos if he can't then Spider-man solos.

@strider92: His visor on or off doesn't really make a difference. Especially when his current form is sometimes shooting blasts like these without realizing it.

Well, depends. I think Wolverine full functioning can take a morals off Pre AvX Cyclops, but current Scott ' s optic blasts are seemingly more powerful and have more range to boot. Scott is running with a healthy chance of soloing.

@strider92: The problem wasn't necessarily unleashing his power on command, it was that he wasn't able to hold his beams back with whatever control he had learned to gain over the years as his beams got stronger, hence the new visor since the old one kept flying off of his face. In the beginning, every time he tried to do an optic blast he would fire off one of those huge ones and drain himself. He's gotten better control as seen in scans 3-4 as those didn't wipe him out but were still larger beams. But as of last issue his powers still aren't under his full control. He had everyone get behind him and he unleashed a blast that went everywhere from wrecking the street, to blowing cars away, to slicing city buildings in half, to busting through metro tracks and he had issues getting it contained. He eventually collapsed on his knees.

If this fight were morals on, it would be a lot closer. As I said, he has gotten better control. He can fire off beams without nuking everything and if he does nuke something, he just isn't collapsing. He shot Legion without seriously harming him. He was firing slim beams against Xorna whom he didn't really want to fight. He was able to shoot down a jet without exploding the whole thing. But the other things to consider is It doesn't help his output has been upgraded, his standard blast size seems larger given the new visor, and he also has the side beams that spiral off of the main ones making it harder to dodge. The only real way to deal with current Cyclops is you either hope he can control his blast or that you can soak it. Given how sporadic his control is and how large his beams can be now, getting around him is nearly impossible.

Team 2

Morals off? Comes down to weather or not Cyclops can tag Spider-Man with the first shot. If not, superior speed and teamwork of team 1 takes it. While the ricochet abilities of Cap and Cyke would potentially be able to handle it... I don't see them pulling together the teamwork to do it. Spider-Man and Wolverine have a history together, and despite the regular scans of them beating on each other, there are a lot more instances of them tearing through crowds of thugs, even training together in the danger room.

Morals off? I may lean team 2, simply because Cykes beams of late have shown a greater spread and more damage. Team 1 has a shot and can potentially walk away with a few wins, but I'd give the majority to team 2.

I'm iffy. If Scott does an area of effect blast, couldn't he take out his own team member?

Team 2. The best fighting strategic minds complement the other so well. 10/10 for me.

Team 1. Spidey take's Cap's shield and solo's all three.

Cap's shield protects him from ridiculous things all the time, if he can tank a Johnny Storm nova he can tank Scott's blast.

So the shield covers all of his body now?

Plot shield and his shield cover his whole body.

Seriously though, Scott has better control now so I don't think tagging Cap by mistake is an issue.

I do not have a scan or anything but Steve hid behind his shield and tanked a nova by the Human Torch from like 15 feet away, that was strong enough to fry Ultron's circuits, through his adamantium shell.

@monsterstomp: It's Cap, doe!! The guy can stand behind his shield while Torch goes nova and not get hit. He stood behind it while Thor unleashed a massive lightning bolt that just scattered around him when it hit. Hell, I've seen Cap stand under a spaceship when it was going off and the flame from the tail end just bent around his shield but he was ok.

Scott could. Cap gets wrecked in a 1v1 with either character, so he definitely can't take the two of them.

Cyclops is going to die very quickly, Cap slightly less so. Spidey kills both of them, then Wolverine too, because he seriously needs to learn his place.
