Who has a better shot at taking down New 52 Superman? In Character, Morals on, abandoned London

Captain Britain?

Or Wonder Man?

neither of them they both lose to Superman horribly...

Superman oneshots then proceeds to one shot gladiator for the fun of it.

@jadenlol: I agree Clark can take both at once easily. But he isn't one-shotting anything when it comes to Gladiator.

I want to say Cap could give him a decent fight before being overwhelmed...aren't his powers dependent on his confidence and the belief of the people of England or some such?

They both get stomped horribly but I think WM has a better shot at him.

Wonder man has a -BETTER- chance... doesn't mean he has an actual chance though ;)

He's never lived up to his implied power.

Wonder Man, according to Marvel he is as strong as Thor. Depending on the the writer he might pull it off....

Problem is, he has literally no feats to back that up or be anywhere close to that power. He's been ragdolled by Grey Hulk :/ His implied power is WAY beyond anything he has ever shown.

I agree superman would win; but I don't know if it would be totally one sided in either case as most people seem to think. Supes has gotten slapped around by "lesser" characters lots of times over the years hasn't he?

Simon has the better chance but hes not gonna win.

How is losing to Doomsday a bad example? Not only has Clark been upgraded a couple of times since then, but Doomsday is a team-buster.

@beerhappy: Thor isn't even as strong as Hulk and Superman would whup Hulk's ass. An alternate version of Hyperion named Sun God knocked Hulk out and the current Hyperion was evenly matched with him. The Earth-712 Hyperion can even hold his own against Thor (without his hammer) and Superman is stronger than all of those Hyperions

@caped_baldy: I don't have a pc right now and i'm unsure how to upload pics on here with my phone or tablet but it happened in Avengers# 3 (2012 series). Hulk was being mind controled and Hyperion fought him and held him off until Hulk reverted back into Bruce Banner

I'll agree that Wonder Man has never lived up to his own hype (and I was disappointed that the fight with Nefaria didn't even get one on panel blow).

Captain Britain is one of those sliding scale guys that on a good day, he's all 'Im the defender of the Multiverse!' and gives a 'You shall not pass!' speech and would win.

On a bad day, he'd get ragdolled by Starfire.

My point with the dead superman pic was that he did get beaten to death; I just think Cap or Wonderman would put up more of a fight than they are getting credit for. Everyone realizes the Jesu...I mean superman would win.

That was (I think) Bronze Age Supes, who was not as strong as Post-DOS.

And that's Doomsday. Doomsday would crush these guys flat in mere seconds. Supes can be beaten by brute force, but you need to be stronger than him or exploit his susceptibility (NOT Weakness) to Magic.

Besides, New 52 Supes bench pressed the weight of the Earth for 5 days straight. That's insane strength.

What are some characters that gave new 52 Supes a good fight? Maybe I'm underestimating him.
