- No character over Skyfather evel, even amped.
- Must be strong enough to match up with DSS in a random encounter, without prep.
- Can be from any comic, novel, tv show, or movie.

Thanos, Blue Marvel, Silver Surfer and Wally West.
Thanos is way over herald level.
Thanos, Blue Marvel, Silver Surfer and Wally West.
Blue Marvel would get annihilated.Anyway, Zatanna or Captain Atom.

@gav: this is cute. A guy who traded blows with the weakest incarnation of sentry (but was ultimately knocked out), and a guy who was owned by the black panther. Yeah Umm no
@kingant27: So you don't think anyone who's Herald level can defeat him?

What are you talking about? Thanos is above herald tier, he's clowned every herald he's encountered including the two most powerful, Surfer (many times) and Fallen One.
@immortal777: I hope you're joking about Blue Marvel beating DS Sentry.
Nobody at Herald level is beating him. He's at least up there with Thanos, but he could possibly be higher. We haven't seen all of his powers yet but according to Marvel, the Death Seed gives it's host "the power to rival the Phoenix force." It's worth noting.
@gav: Sorry I meant to tag immortal.
@allcaps_34: Most likely not, there may be a few exceptions; but seeing how DS Sentry can't die, I doubt there are a lot of characters powerful enough to KO him.
@gav: Sorry I meant to tag immortal.
No problem, seemed out of place, no worries :)
Thanos, Blue Marvel, Silver Surfer and Wally West.
@kingant27: @newblood2333: So I should edit the OP to Skyfather level?
Thanos wouldn't even beat DS Sentry. Rouge absorbed "all of the powers of every hero on earth", and she was only half of the equation to stopping the celestials decent. DSS, who grabbe the other foot, was the other half. This means that DSS is at least equal to all of the other heroes on earth combined. This immortal wins with ease.

To be fair most heroes on Earth were dead though, she absorbed mainly from street level mutants.
@allcaps_34: it would be more fair, but then you will have the "Thor" fans piling in crazy numbers. Your call.
@gav: But to be fair, he was the only one able to really do it. In UA22 it was just Sentry holding him up while Rouge was passed out on the ground. The sentry was even the one who flew of with the celestial, so he did much more of a feat than rouge with all the heroes powers.
I'm not down playing DSS, he's OP, I was commenting on Rogue.

This is why I hate that feat so much. Rogue slowed it down, and needed just a little of help to make it stopped completely in the end. Sentry did help her to stop it completely, but what is his role in this? Have you ever bench pressed? Sometimes you cannot perform the press all by yourself and you partner helps you, with a finger! Rogue was the muscles, Sentry was the finger. Simple as that. He's yet to prove himself to be as powerful as 100 heroes of earth combined, I really don't get why people make those suppositions from a feat that determined absolutely nothing (of how much power Rogue needed to actually stop Exitar). It's all just a fallacy. Now, when he flew with the body of Exitar away from Earth, that can be considered a planet-lifting feat since we all know how big this Celestial was. Helping Rogue? Like I said, just a help, not actual equal. That's what I take from there.
@adamtrmm: You have it wrong my friend. Rouge wasn't even able to slow it down. Not one person said she did anything to slow the Celestials decent. When the Sentry got under there, he completely stopped it/ or slowed it down drastically (whichever statement you want to go by). This clearly shows it was the Sentry that did the majority of the work. He was the lifter while Rouge was the spotter. She couldn't handle that kind of weight that's why she fell to the ground knocked out.

One epic level wizard from 3.5e D&D.
Failing that, a Solar Exalt.
One epic level wizard from 3.5e D&D.
Failing that, a Solar Exalt.
Nostalgia so hard! I had every Exalted book and dozens of 3.5 books, every monstrous compendium!
@gav: If I remember, high level solar exalts would be able to defeat most comic book and anime top tier reality warpers with ease. By punching them.
No herald level characters are beating Death Seed Sentry. No herald level characters have even beaten an unstable Sentry.
@z3ro180: lol what?? He stomped Thor in his debut so "no".
@newblood2333: World War Hulk, who is not even as powerful as some heralds, stomped unstable Sentry. A lot of people can destroy regular Sentry, but DSS is another thing.
Silver Surfer and White Lantern can probably beat DSS
@maninthemountain: he didn't stomp him. This was a very mentally unstable sentry, who was contemplating if he should exist or not right before he decided to go "play god." This Weakened Sentry stalemated one of the strongest incarnations of the Hulk. The Sentry wasn't losing this fight. They were going blow for blow in a dead even fight, until both reverted back to their human forms. In which Bruce punched Bob out. This isn't a win for the Hulk.
Besides, this Hulk ran through silver surfer (although both were weakened at the time), he ran through sorcerer supreme dr. Strange (who merged with his greatest foe), the inhumans and a black bolt imposter (supposedly even in power though), all the X-men, the Avengers, the new avengers, the illuminati, and anyone else who was thrown at him. I would hardly say he was at "herald" level.
@allcaps_34: Thor wins
@allcaps_34: Thor wins
Have you read Uncanny Avengers? Thor has encountered DSS, twice, and each time DSS humiliated Thor.
