The movie version of Voldemort is fighting Darth Vader from the classic Star Wars movie Trilogy
VS.
You do not know the power of the darkside! :p
Vader. The only thing going for moldybutt Is the killing curse, but since vader is a cyborg would it really stop his heart?
@sirdrprofessor: Voldemort has his own version of the Force. How about Accio Lightsaber?
@chazz85: Voldemort's spells are not just simply energy based attacks that Vader can keep on deflecting with that fancy sword of his. Hell, Tom can just transfigure Vader into a hamster and call it a day.
@shirso: Also vaser deflected hans blaster bolts with nothing but the force. He doesnt even need his lightsaber to block them.
The point is Han's blaster bolts are purely energy based physical attacks, while the entire purpose of magic is to work around conventional physical durability. Any of the more hax spells like the imperius curse or transfiguration would make short work of Vader.

Voldemort has never used the Imperius curse or transfiguration in combat (in the movies at least).
Vader can easily break his wand, and without his wand Voldemort is severely restricted.
@sirdrprofessor: He used the imperius curse on Harry in goblet of fire. As for transfiguration if Barty crouch jr can use it casually, there's no reason why Tom can't. In fact, even Crucio can severely hurt vader.
As for Vader disarming him, Tom has other powers like teleportation, flight and invisibility. Not to mention Tom's own TK is significantly strong(he ripped apart a bridge in half blood prince).
@chazz85: You can't dodge transfiguration or the imperius curse, no more than you can dodge telepathy. Thats the whole point of non-physical( hax based) attacks
Depends, even this Vader efortlessly deflects blaster bolts, so he has superhuman reactions for sure. But I guess what makes this Vader so weak is his lack of mobility, he can't really move around with all that cyborg armor.
Can Voldemort avadakadvra Vader without his wand? If so, he could potentially take this
Yes he can, powerful wizards has been known to use magic without wands & since Voldemort is one of the most powerful ones then I can be sure he would.

No he can't. Voldemort can do wandless magic but Avada Kedavra is not part of his wandless repetoire. Unforgivable curses are hard enough to do non-verbally, let alone without a wand.
Voldemort has never shown the ability to use AK without a wand. No one has.
This is a complicated topic. I've seen few fan videos on Youtube, where Vader kill Voldemort, in a long and bloody battle. The seen videos battles were good, but I did not detail it. Well, an important fact needs to be considered. If Voldemort has Horcrux, then he can't kill no one, just to beat it. However Vader is not immortal. Vader proved to be a better opponent based on fans' ideas, who has successfully can defended himself from Killing Curse. I agree with this, because Voldemort is in vain so powerful, but he is a real loser who always hurts himself, whenever he attacks Harry Potter. Vader it is quite probable defeats to Voldemort, but he cannot kill him. That's the point.
On paper, a magician should be able to beat a swordsman. Not to mention the force by itself is rarely the deciding factor in fights in the films except against fodder. Pedestrian battles in Star Wars were determined by who won the sword fights. I actually believe Vader would win if this is the movie versions
Since this is movies only it would probably be a close fight. I'll give it to Vader as the force counters wizards imo.
@tchoob: reasons?
Less talented wizards can literally move mountains, create storms and cyclones, animate a whole forest, make a volcano erupt, summon shooting stars, create fire demons, create whole dimensions in objects and so on.
Most of those aren't combat viable and take groups and time to replicate.
By the way spells are not slow than in the movies, they are a lot of faster
Vader is extremely fast as well and can sense things before they happen and from areas he is not even looking at.
Grindelwald a less powerful wizard as Voldemort nearly destroyed whole paris easily
That was do to fire spreading over time. I do agree Voldemort would be better at destroying things than Vader.
But If Vader comes dangerous close Voldemort could apparate, fly away, or make a powerful shield around him.
Yeah, Voldemort is more versatile, and I don't think it would be an easy win for Vader. Voldemort can definitely take some rounds.
transfigurate himself into sand
lol, he would hate that.
