Vibe vs. Flash

Now that JLA's Vibe is out, who do you think would win? Barry Allen? Or Cisco?

I think one issue in is a little too early to judge how the character would do against someone much more well established.

@Decoy Elite: Strictly powers. No knowing of how each character controls abilities.

@dtschemmel: Pure powers the Flash's are clearly better.

@Decoy Elite: You think so? I know he's fast, but you don't think vibes vibrations could slow him?

@dtschemmel: Not really, he'd move too quick for them to even register. He could just zip right up to Vibe and take him out before he even gets a chance to use his powers at all.

Vibe was chosen to be the one to go up against Flash, so surely there must be something about his powers that lend themselves to fighting Barry.

Maybe he's really good at taking super fast punches to the face?

Na, Flash can vibrate through him, probably vibrate even better than he can.

Vibrating is really the only thing that New-52 Barry excels at. At this point, he should have little trouble with Vibe.

@Ancient_0f_Days: His powers haven't been fully elaborated upon & he's not even sure how his powers work; there may be more powers that he may display in the future

meh, im just going off of what we got to work with already, Flash already has vibration feats from when he fought Supergirl...

Vibe is supposed to do well against people who draw their powers from other dimensions, I think. ( I guess they were talking about the speed force) He was picked as the best match up vs Flash for the JL of A team. No feats yet though and like the others have said he's still a kid who doesn't know how to use his powers.

The way his powers were framed he's pretty much the Anti-Flash... that said it is way to early to call if he can actually manifest those powers in a way that can compete with Barry... As of now Barry wins because Vibe is featless.

I say let him compile some feats and learn to master his powers before we start throwing him in battles.

A character with human durability and one issue stating that he has yet to gain decent control over his powers has no hope.

I'm putting my money on him being one of those character's that has a good showing during the single event they where set up for and gets relegated to wallpaper duty in future events.

Vibe is a lame character with no feats. Flash stomps

Depends on how they use him, Cyborg feels like the guy who always has a handy device for those non-combat situations for instance helping Cheetah Superman so we need to see if he will be a combat power house or is the guy that will simply close those pesky dimensional holes.

@dextersinister I feel as if he will be more in the combat aspect, mainly for the fact that he has a solo comic.

So DC tries to screw over one of their best speedsters--Flash? And about those dimension powers. How are they supposed to work?

The Speed Force is another dimension from which character's who's power's are based off of speed harness their energy from. It's an alternate energy source essentially.

For now, I'm going with Flash.

I feel as if he can slow flash enough to have him hurt. And if he can stop dimensional powers then flash = bye bye.

@dtschemmel: Vibe technically should be able to depower flash by severing his connection with the speedforce. The question is does he have control and with only one issue we have no clue.

vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvibe new issues and there still coming the first show down with kid flash didt disconnect him from the speed force but showed his past so this is a good question

Flash

Barry could blitz him before he uses his Vibe powers. If the fight were setup so that Barry wasn't trying to beat him as fast as possible and Vibe got a chance to cut off his powers (like I imagine will happen when the JL and JLA inevitably fight) then sure, but Barry has already shown to be fairly capable without his powers when he lost them to the Dial.

A battle many of us are waiting to see. As of now Barry does have more feats but best not to make swift judgement.

Flash.

I read that vibes powers alow him to disrupt the the speed force itself, causing him to pose as a real threat to the flash. This would be a cool fight but I don't know who would really win.
