Anyways, I don't see the problem. Sure, the Presence might not be truly omnipotent, but neither is Thanos or the Beyonder. Just because the Presence isn't truly omnipotent doesn't mean he still isn't "virtually" omnipotent.

Still The Presence for the obvious reasons.

I think the Presence is slightly above Living Tribunal level, so he wins here.

Does this mean that Marvel is officially more powerful than DC?

I have no intention of debating in my own thread, but I don't understand what you mean here.

Both HotU Thanos and PR Beyonder were vastly greater than LT.

Unless you thought that this was IG Thanos and Post-Retcon Beyonder, in which case your assessment makes sense.

Oh... I did think it was IG Thanos. I didnt read the rules closely enough and didnt realize it was HotU, sorry about that.

In that case I'm going with the team FTW.

Basically a guy who has virtually unlimited power against two beings who have virtually unlimited power. I guess it depends on how you feel about Presence's power level. I do believe that the duo would take it, because Thanos has a fraction of TOAA's power here, and PR beyonder was TOAA of another multiverse. I just think the 2 on 1 gives the duo the win

I havent read any new stuff either, I'd be curious to know as well. But, the Presence was never omnipotent since there was always the GEB and Overmonitor.

SPOILERS BELOW

In the new Lucifer series, the major plot point is that the Presence has been murdered, but nobody knows who killed him, so Lucifer and Gabriel go on this adventure around the universe to uncover the mystery.

As of the recent issue, it is revealed that the angel Gabriel went to a place where not even the Presence's omniscience could reach him, in which he plotted there. After that, Gabriel then killed the Presence. Lucifer also noted how the Presence probably never even saw it coming.

Lucifer was also annoyed at Gabriel for killing the Presence, because he was the one that wanted to kill him first.

@willpayton: The Presence cast the GEB off, so he's the stronger of the two, but they've since merged.

The Primal Monitor was the canvas of the writers, so it's got a foot in both worlds, ours, and the comic one so he's not really a DC character in the comic sense.

Edit: I saw it. The new Lucifer series, gonna read it soon to figure out whether it's canon to the old one or its rectonned.

I just read this issue. It looks like the Presence has a plot in this. I doubt he's truly dead. In any case that Presence is from Vertigo which yes is owned by DC but DC has a Presence in the Post Flashpoint universe as well and that one is alive. He's defeated Neron, Trigon and 5 other massively powerful beings at once.

Not that i disagree with your opinion, but what do you mean when you say "obvious reasons"?

What does that even mean? And Thanos with HotU is more impressive IMO. What feats makes the Presence more powerful than Thanos w/ HotU?

The presence is basically DC's TOAA so he should win rather easily.

No, the Presence is not DC's TOAA. The Presence is just one of the most powerful entities in DC, but it's not omnipotent. Marvel's TOAA is truly omnipotent because in a sense it's the avatar of the writer, and as such no fictional character can do anything the writer doesnt want.

I am a Marvel fan mostly too, but how is Marvel any better than DC comics because Marvel does have an omnipotent being? If you read comics only for power levels then it's not worth it.
