The 5 strongest (Physical) JLA member?

Was trying to find a thread ranking the physically strongest Justice League Members, but couldn't find any (if there are one, please post a link). Since i couldn't find one, i just as well start one of my own.

So the topic is, who is the physically strongest Justice League Members, like in pure strength wise, and NOT as in powerful like with speed force, telepathy or power rings and so on...

My list:

1 Superman

2 Martian Manhunter

3 Captain Marvel

4 Supergirl

5 Wonder Woman

Kind of feeling i'm forgetting someone,and the top three is a really close match, however I've always felt Superman always had a slight advantage over the likes of MM and CM even if it's still a close call.

What do you think? Please let me know your opinions!

I can back up facts for why this list is more accurate

I would put Power Girl over Super Girl.

Martian manhunters strong? i thought he always used telekinesis for things but i havent seen much of him.

J'onn has Superman level strength. He even mentions in a comic that people tend to forget his strength is on par with the Man of Steel's.

A list involving Superman, Martian Manhunter, Wonder Woman, Captain Marvel and Orion would be pretty accurate.

Yeah, this list seems to be the most accurate to me. People often forget about Shazam and Orion. I suppose one could count Power Girl and Supergirl as well (though Kara was only in Cry for Justice as a JL member - and I refuse to acknowledge that story...)

Make Sure It Is a Battle

The battle forum is for actual fights between characters. Things like 'who has the coolest power' or 'who gets the most chicks' ARE NOT BATTLES. Just because you put 'vs' in the title, does not automatically make it battle forum worthy. They should be placed in general discussion or in off-topic (depending on what they're about). As well, fights with characters who are not comic book or manga characters or haven't featured predominantly in comic books or manga (Bruce Lee vs Chuck Norris, Barney Stinson vs Joey Tribbian etc) do not belong in the battle forum, either.

I'm a little surprised to not see Orion near the top of every list.

@ThunderGodsWrath Thanks, totally forgot about Orion. Captain Atom i must admit, i'm not so familliar with his feats and how they rank up against other JLA members. Never really considered him to be a very physical hero.

@Ancient_0f_Days Point taken, I've read the rules prior to creating the thread, and was a bit uncertain if "Battles" where the right forum for it. However as i first stated, i've searched the forum for a topic (like the one in this thread) and the only close one i found was a topic called "Strongest JLA Members" (see link below). Turned out that topic was not about physical strength but instead of how powerful all characters where compared to one another. Point is that thread was over 7 pages long and posted in the "battles" forum, despite not being an actual "battle", so I assumed this thread qualified as well.

How is captain marvel at the bottom?He's stronger than orion and martian manhunter. Neither of them have feats that can match captain helping superman lift infinity.

@son_of_tomorrow: Because all the feats I know he has is based on him fighting Superman, a feat which cripples itself because Marvel is fuelled by magic. Orion is there because of the numerous scuffles he's had with Superman over the years and the Manhunter because he has often been stated to be as powerful as Superman (last time it was during Hal/Barry's encounter with him during Blackest Night) even if his physical strength is mostly downplayed in favor of his more unique abilities.

And if you are referring to the Final Crisis Superman story, let me remind you that it wasn't the New-Earth Captain Marvel.

@Outside_85: Didn't really specify which captain marvel,so anyone goes.Don't see why magic isn't allowed to be considered,when MM uses his other abilities to augment his strength.His base level is no where near superman level.And orion is just on superman's level at base,when superman sundips he becomes the physically strongest comic book character,and with constant exposure his strength is limitless at best.Plus supergirl would share in this fact,so that's why I put them at the top.

@son_of_tomorrow:Perhaps not, but the Captain Marvel that helped Superman lift that page with infinite mass, wasn't from the same universe Superman was from. I discount the sundipping from my list because it's a bit like saying Tony Stark is the strongest Avenger...because he's carrying the Power Gem or something similar. Captain Marvel I put so low, as I explained, his bests feats often come from him fighting Superman and Superman isn't as invulnerable to magic as he is everything else short of Kryptonite.

I know that,and supes base strength is still above these guys.Since his base strength is always changing everyday,While people like orion,MM,captain marvel have a limit and they can't increase their strength on a daily basis.Supes just stands around and his base strength will be higher the next day.

Cap can technically draw on the quantum field to be as strong as he wants to be. IIRC he even matched Mr Majestic In strength.

For me

1. Orion ( he's matched Supes often enough but with beserker strength he would beat him, plus the only one who's physically matched Darkseid)

Replace Supergirl with Orion, and if you count black Adam, then out goes WW

I don't know how strong Orion and Captain Atom are, I haven't seen them show strength features that make them as strong or stronger than Superman. So as of now, my opinion on the top 5 is the same as the original post! :D
