Tyrant stomps on team 2 while Thanos sits around laughing.

Seriously, even depowered Tyrant put up a very good fight against Galactus, possibly could have pulled off a win under the right conditions.
@ChristhecomicPunk I don't think telepathy is a factor here. Thanos has shrugged off telepathic attacks from the best in Marvel and is a decent telepath in his own right. I have not seen Tyrant under telepathic attack, but since he is such an advanced being (and mostly machine) I would have to assume it would be on par with trying to attack Galactus telepathically
people forget how much of a beast thanos is. In the infinity gauntlet series.......without the IG on, just a regular Thanos......had enough physical strength that he had to be physically restrained by Thor and hulk (who both appeared to be straining). Now Despero has physical stat strength wise that is impressive also.....in Virtue & Vice he took on Wonder Woman, Superman, Power Girl, Hourman, and Captain Marvel (I think) all at the same time and threw them around like rag dolls. Thanos has proven substantial resistance to psychic/telepathic attacks. Sooooo in conclusion............. Thanos VS. Despero match would be a good one. Thanos takes it due to energy projection output.........appears to rival that of Surfer's Cosmic Power.
Now Tyrant VS. Fenrus?? Once again....cool! But Tyrant is just in another class above Fenrus. Don't get me wrong....Fenrus IS A BEAST!!! However Tyrant is just too powerful.
Team 1 takes the win and turns Team 2 into their minions.

This is correct.

Eh, I don't know about that. Despero, as well as Fernus, are both incredibly powerful telepaths, I can't think of many people in Marvel who are on par with them. People like Xavier, Emma Frost, Moondragon, etc are nothing. And I don't see how attacking Tyrant telepathically would be like doing it to Galactus, Tyrant doesn't even have any telepathic showing like Galactus does. There's not a lot of evidence to suggest he could resist telepathy from either of team 2.
I would go with team 1, but I don't believe it's a stomp.
I do suppose that I would be making a leap of logic, but seeing as Tyrant was originally created to be Galactus' equal, I would have to assume that he has the capacity to withstand a telepathic attack to some degree, even at a depowered state. If the guy was to simply fall at the will of anyone with telepathy, I doubt he would be considered a threat on a universal scale. But you would be right in saying that there would be no showings, so I speculate.
But it sounds like we agree on the end result, so it all works out.
On a side note, you may be the only person that I have ever encountered that casually sweep Xavier and Jean under the telepathic rug. It is an interesting perspective.

I see what you're saying, I would also agree that Tyrant wouldn't just fall to any average telepath, but I think it's agreeable to say that Despero and Fernus are not average telepaths by any means, and Tyrant not having any telepathic related showings, probably wouldn't resist a telepathic assault from these two.
Indeed, I don't think they would stand up to energy manipulators of their level in the end.
Heh, well, I just think that compared to someone like say, Martian Manhunter, their telepathy is demonstrably weaker.
Team 2 gets wrecked.
