Why would they not work? Kryptonite does not negate Superman's powers. The OP's Superman-Buster suit is more or less what Lex Luthor carries around and that's never stopped Superman from running him over.

What do you mean? Kryptonite weakens Superman, it does not negate his power. And considering the number of villains he has who use Kryptonite against him (Lex, Titano, Metallo, Kryptonite Man, Bloodsport, Conduit), it really won't take long before he just heat visions Iron Man or throws something at him from a distance the way he does to the others.
I fail to see how the kryptonite changes the outcome, Superman has tons of experience dealing with villains who use it against him and Iron Man is still vastly physically inferior.

Comics. He was stabbed with a kryptonite sword in Absolute Power and still retained his powers to some degree, shot through the heart with a Kryptonite bullet, injected with liquidized kryptonite by Magog, and so on. Kryptonite weakens him in the sense that his strength and speed decrease to lesser superhuman levels and steadily deteriorate. They do not just vanish every time the green rock makes an appearance.

If a kryptonite bullet gets near superman he wont stop it, like i said superman gets too weak and not as strong or anything as durable as he usually is... @TERMINATORXX: OK I went to get the issue where he shatters Lex's armour and I did mix up the details. It was in Justice League of America #15 and Hal and John Stewart removed Lex's Kryptonite gauntlets before Superman shattered the armour. Apologies about the mix up. But still Lex is at least as smart and skilled as Tony. More ruthless too. And Superman's still beaten him. Furthermore, it seems you don't understand what kryptonite actually does so I'll give you a definition from the site. Do try and follow it now:
"Green Kryptonite can weaken those of Kryptonian descent (weakening powers and abilities as well as strength), and in large enough doses or for long enough time it is lethal. There are plenty of instances where Superman has still had his powers whilst exposed to Kryptonite. And he can still use them. If he keeps away from Tony and uses heat vision from a distance, that would spell trouble for Tony. You've failed to show how Tony wins whilst I have just demonstrated that Superman has beaten enemies who have used Kryptonite against him, even Kryptonite powered armour.
