If sokka can keep Mai off Suki's back they can win. Suki has adapted to Ty Lee's fighting style and in the comics IIRC learnt chi blocking.

Mai one shots Sokka with a dozen of projectiles in his face. Suki vs Ty Lee could go either way many arguments could be made for Ty Lee's speed and evasion vs Suki's skill (although Ty Lee had extra training in the comics so she could still have a theoritical advantage), not that it matters so much.
Even if we go by Suki vs Mai and Sokka vs Ty Lee, yeah, Suki would beat Mai but it'd be quite the fight unlike Ty Lee vs Sokka. Sokka is just a weak link.

Also, teamwork advantage.

Sokka is far from being a weaklink. He's even deflected shots from Mai while sleep deprived.

Sokka cannot deflect a dozen of projectiles in his face and Ty Lee stomps him even by EoS.

Suki is good but very likely still a bit under Ty Lee and Sokka can defend himself a bit against Mai but not long enough. Ty Lee beats him easy, Mai and Suki can Suki probably win but not fast enough.

Mai and Ty Lee win handily.

@anthp2000: In character she never goes on for full on knife spamming in large volumes unless she is fighting multiple opponents or she wants to end things immediately. She has never pulled this off anyway against established fighters. Heck even when she tried to throw several arrows/blades at Katara when she was on top of her game she managed to block. Sokka blocked some of her projectiles, meaning he can perceive them, there's literally no reason why he can't dodge them all together. Mai shot a projectile at Katara and Sokka literally ran from Point A to Point B just to block the projectile, counterattacked Mai with a boomerange, she counterattacked with another set of projectiles, then Sokka AGAIN deflected her projectiles. He has enough experience to avoid attacks from her. The thing that makes the feat more impressive initially is that she was riding one of those Lizard Creatures which are fast and nimble enough to run on water, while taking the shot, so Sokka reacted to a strafe shot to protect Katara.

As long as he can hold her off which is all that matters Suki can take Ty Lee with skill.

Edit: Yes she can throw large volumes of projectiles, but has it ever occured to you that a combatant could run, dodging a good portion of the projectiles, while simulatenously deflecting the ones in your general direction instead of attempting to get all of them???

And people seem to forget that Sokka is actually surprisingly good with his boomerrang.

That's true but she used very high volume against Aang in 1 on 1 too. Also against Katara, both in Omashu.

Katara had a reliable stonewall defence that Sokka lacks. She could use the bars and her icebending. Both of the times Mai attacked Sokka, she attack with 3 linear arrows easily deflectable.

Does Sokka have any speed and agility showings to dodge attacks from Mai aiming at him and not on Katara? Esspecially if she fires projectiles at multiple directions?

Suki blocked all of Ty Lee's attacks in the gondola, but Ty Lee also blocked and dodged all of Suki's, Ty Lee is not unskilled, at the very least she can force a stalemate. Their fight will definetely be longer than Mai vs Sokka.

Besides, her daggers definetely seem faster than her arrows from the shooters. Remember when she blitzed a Kyoshi Warrior with the daggers and another one blocked her arrows? Or the fact that Katara (who is every bit as fast as Sokka) could not do much about her daggers right after Sokka deflected her arrows? And she uses the daggers to send people flying too.

EDIT: Teamwork is a huge factor here. Similarly to how they handled Sokka and Katara that easily, Mai and Ty Lee can "choose" their opponents to find the right matchups. And I think we can agree Suki vs Mai is a lot closer than Ty Lee vs Sokka.

Trying to capture him. And i do not recall in omashu

Katara had a reliable stonewall defence that Sokka lacks. She could use the bars and her icebending. Both of the times Mai attacked Sokka, she attack with 3 linear arrows easily deflectable.

Doesn't change the fact that Sokka still reacted to her projectiles....

Does Sokka have any speed and agility showings to dodge attacks from Mai aiming at him and not on Katara? Esspecially if she fires projectiles at multiple directions?

IMO Sokka has better reflexes than Katara. He may not be as agile or flexible as Katara may or may not be, but he's consistently shown better reflexes on his own accord, such as the feat with Mai, his sparring sessions against Piando and his other students, in The Rift where he deflected an arrow in close range with his club. etc.

Suki blocked all of Ty Lee's attacks in the gondola, but Ty Lee also blocked and dodged all of Suki's, Ty Lee is not unskilled, at the very least she can force a stalemate. Their fight will definetely be longer than Mai vs Sokka.

Fair enough.

She was not trying to capture him when she almost stabbed his brains out with that richrocketed knife or when
She threw 5 daggers at Katara when the fight begun.

Just because someone can react to a marksman's projectiles, it doesn't mean it's an auto-win or that they can dodge them for a good enough time.

Katara is the one who consistently keeps up with people like Zuko, Toph, Ty Lee and Azula, Sokka has only sparred arrow timing feats all over the place. Besides, Katara reacted to attacks aimed at both of them, faster than him before:

As for flexibility or agility, Sokka hasn't done anything close to Katara's dance with Aang.

Sokka was also sleep deprived, this is exactly my point about her arrows being slower than her daggers which is backed up by more showings.

Bloodlusted Sokka solos, one trickshot is all he needs.
