Yama solos the verse

Through feats, calcs and scaling Shikai Yamamoto is more powerful than the duo. Their best raw feat would be Mihawks ice berg feat which is below the explosion Wonderwies was going to get off with only a portion of Yammas power. Then regarding scaling nothing beats dwarfing Ulquiorras Lanza. Nothing. The most renowned feat is the cloud splitting one that through only benefit of the doubt is calced around country level and hell you can put it at continental it still wouldn’t change anything because that’s a shared feat performed by the Top tiers of the series and even a lowball calc of Lanza puts it at continental. You’re going to have to accept that if you’re using calcs. The duos highballed scaling doesn’t even meet Yamamotos conservative scaling.

Through scaling to Oetsu, Yamamoto’s also faster. Oetsu has a feat of actually casually statuing Gerard who at the time was at worst high end sub relativistic. That places Oetsu well into FTL. The Duo are relativistic to low FTL generously. Kizaru’s who”s LS is stated to only be perceived through advanced CoO Haki and things like the Pacifista lasers, Germa tech or Queens lasers being LS is shut down by the fact that Vegapunk himself stated he can’t replicate Logia fruit powers and Kizaru’s LS comes from his Logia. There’s pushback on that but in reality it’s just denial. There‘s headcanon of VP only not being able to grasp how their body is essentially their element at times but that gets immediately shut down by the fact that he stated he can replicate all types of paranoicas even the rare ones which include Marcos and Katakuri’s which share the same properties as Logias. Niji’s lightspeed statement is about as valid as any other claret nonsensical lightspeed statement in manga. If we go by that then let’s just go with Espada 9 evading direct light or it we could go with Liltotto evading the Auswhalen light. Then Yamamoto would still be above the duo.

Regarding Hax the duo has Haki which doesn’t help against a passive Soul Crush from Yamamoto. And their arsenal is severely lacking compared to his 200 kido and massive AoE Shikai.

All in all to put the Duo above Yamamoto you have to be ridiculously ignorant and downplay the hell out of him.

I could feasibly argue, that Shikai Yamamoto stands there and tanks Shanks and Mihawk’s attacks, because he tanked his Bankai Reiatsu AND he tanked Ennetsu.

I could not say the same for Shanks and Mihawk.

Yamamoto straight up absorbed an explosion that could have reduced an area many times the size of Karakura Town to ash, and didn't take any visible damage whatsoever. For reference, Karakura Town is about ten kilometers in diameter, if I recall correctly.

He didn't tank it, he straight up fucking absorbed it. Which is infinitely more impressive.

Which means Mihawk and Shanks' punches aren't doing shit to Yamamoto.

He had minor injuries after containing the explosion within his entire body, and had enough fight in him to pull off a high level Hado at least. Doesn't matter because none of the characters involved have destructive feats comparable to that.

mihawk swings at mftl+ feats scaling from kizaru. he casually one taps yamamoto and gotei 13 to be honest.

@dikkhardly: you might need to go reread that chapter again Ma boi. Amma help you out it’s chapter 395 page 8-12. He took damage, blood and everything; It still exploded, he just reduced the AoE.

Oh and also casting a hado had nothing to do with what you said so that’s irrelevant.

Karakura Town has no visible damage taken.

That means he cancelled almost all of the energy of the explosion that could've easily reduced multiple cities to ash.

As for the rest, Yamamoto at the time was vastly above Kenpachi, whose novel scaling makes him planetary - from far before the invasion of the Soul Society. He can also tank and coat himself in his flames, which would have killed Royd had it not been for his ‘Blut.’
