I find ron's high end strength feats to be significantly more impressive than kim's

such as

a. easily beatng the pumped drago who stomped possible and shago, and kicking a tree in half

Kim all the way. As for round 2, her experience will give her the edge.

per topic for round 2 i don't see kim being able to deal with ron's strength without a skill edge

skill is equalized for two, and ron's best feats of strength are above kim's.

The issue is, Ron's monkey kung-fu came and went (can't recall if it ever stuck near the end of the series), and even then, he was maybe a bit below Monkey fist in skill (although he got some huge strength feats later on IIRC), plus his morals wouldn't let him go all out against Kim, and likewise for Kim v Ron. That's why I fell back on general skill showings, to which Kim seemed more skilled.

This thread makes me want to re-watch the series lol

it was stated she wrestled a shark but she has never shown anything close to that level of strength in the show

Ron's real skill came and went. Kim was consistent in her showings.

He did this after the training montage where he kicked open a tree and monkey power wasn't used at all in so the drama or in a stich in time. Also monkey power iirc amped up his skill, nothing else, even with monkey power, its not like his strength was shown to have increased, his best strength showings are still without said monkey power.

This is true, ron was the ultimate jobber in just about every aspect of his life. Apparently he spent most of the time as an outcast, yet was the prom king. Was supposed to be terrible with girls but somehow got loves from three lassies, (I'm not counting bonnie as i discount pains in the shites), was supposed to be weak yet his strength without monkey power was peak human at a minmum and with it, bad at sports supposedly yet would be a top quality wide reciever able to run out of the field to catch a football, top notch running back, has regulary done football like throws, has peak human physicals, was skilled at soccer, invented a new sport, did many extreme activities due to heroing, was constantly being unskilled but then was suddenly, and this had nothing to with monkey powers, was able to hold off both sheego and kim without use of his hands. He was shown to be dimwitted, but was able to completely outclass drago when it came to scheming.

I may be remembering it wrong, but didn't Ron absolutely stomp Kim when he was hit with that evil ray thing?

I distinctly remember him just wrecking face to the point that Kim had to convince good Drakken to go evil again because she couldn't beat evil Ron.

Ron was an absolute beast, even without the mystical Monkey Fist powers. He genuinely rivals Kim and eclipses her in strength. It'd be close R1, but I'd definitely back Ron in R2.
