Well, the U.S.A. has won battles against armies that had a bit of superior weaponry. Like the German Army; their tanks were waaay superior than the U.S. but they still won battles against the German Army. Heck, even today, the German tank (leopard tank) is ranked as the world's best follow by the American Abram tank.

The US would probably destroy itself using nukes.

I don't think the US would hold out long, even our superior weapons are no match for something so advanced as a Republic Space Fleet. I agree with Chaos Prime, 12 hours max.

well america  has  working  rail guns, and lasers   look up  thats impossible  hosted by Jonathan frakes , they also show we have cloaking  capabilities.......
The rail guns  and lasers  would deff  help match  Clone troopers weaponry, emp burst  would effect republic tech 
nukes  would eliminate  major forces   F-22 raptors, can out maneuver   clone gun  ships.
the clone lasers  would  be a deff  worry and prob  for america.
but  marines, rangers    submarines,  predator drones, would lethal to them
 
our soldiers would be far  better troopers   better shots, more accurate.. and every kill we would take they'er tech and use against them
 
Star destroyers would prove a prob,  seeing how they can do orbital bombardment but  sence they want america, they would need to decend to the skies.......stealth bombers could carpet bomb with cover provided by f-22, f-18,  possibly the new f-35 prototype.
Dont forget we have  robotics   pred drones,  computer controled  helicopters  similar to pred drones.  so in essence we have a drone army.
 
 Stealth's would drop near nuke bombs on star destroyers  taking out shields, as well as EMP burst.........this would be bloody ,and mass casualties
But us americans,  not just soldiers would fight! so the republic would prob not calculate this and that could turn the tide of the war......
our advantage is taking stuff that  dosen't belong to us ...so  the edge is  we would take repub  tech and  use against them, im sayin even com endearing  a few star destroyers, n gun ships,  a squad of rangers could  take  over

Ok i admit U.S.A. helped but it's not cause of them 

 The problem I see with nukes is when you start nuking everything, you're going to be left with radiation and other forms of chemicals around. So we'll have to break out the NBC gear. But one shot in the NBC gear is going to render it useless, and you can't wear gas masks forever. The filters have to be change. If you do manage not to get hit, and have extra filters for your masks, you still need water or risk the chance of having a heatstroke. 

" @PrinceIMC:  can it detect  stealth?  doubt it. in the star wars books, which is canon  luke skywalker has a stealth x wing and non of the star destroyers  can detect it.   and  u need to read   i said  this is fiction....meaning NOT REAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! emp will effect Star destroyers,  if ewoks defeated the empire, im sure we can beat  the republic  "
