Captain America should be able to take this. He's in better shape than the 2 has-beens that Veidt knocked around, and his shield would prove effective in the fight as well. With no morals? Captain America uses the shield to behead Ozy.
Cap has better strength feats and has a possible healing factor, but in raw H2H standards Veidt should win... However a moral-less movie Cap would probably pose as an enormous threat, so I guess stalemate...
Not having seen the movie, does Cap have any moments that trump the bullet catching Ozy does? Judging from the trailers and short clips I've actually have seen, Cap seems slightly, but not enough to make a real difference, stronger and he does have the shield and the skills to use it. Ozy seems to be a bit faster and better H2H combatant, however. He was pretty much toying with Rorschach and Nite Owl and could have killed them any time he wanted.
Difficult, but I'd give Ozymandiaz a slight edge, maybe 6/10, but it could go either way depending on day-to-day form.
I take "H2H only" as them both being on equal grounds physically. In other words, no powers or enhancements. If this is the case, Ozy stomps. He was shown as a really impressive fighter in the movie.
@spartan92: I see. Then I'd place Ozy as being quite a bit quicker than Cap, and more skilled. Hydra goons are pushovers. Ozymandias would probably win 8-9/10, 'cause you never know. Cap might get in a lucky shot or maybe he had a better breakfast. LOL
I'd say they are physically equal and while Ozy has the edge in speed, Cap's skill with the shield would even it out.
Well yeah with the shield, but the OP posted this as being H2H only. Which is why Ozy would beat cap. His speed and skill factors come into play rather nicely in this situation for him.
Question: When in the Watchmen movie did Veidt ever face anyone that was at peak-human condition? First off, he already lost to Comedian once when they were both in his prime, and then he defeated Comedian in his apartment, taken off guard and from the looks of it, half-drunk. Ozy also fought Rorschach, a decent enough street-fighter, but a constant jobber on the Vine, and Niteowl II, who was retired before he re-donned the outfit and fought. Captain America has a serum that allows him to not only toss around people like rag dolls, but to keep going without losing stamina, as Erskine's serum eliminates the fatigue in the body, as Captain America was never once winded or tired for his efforts in the movie.
Veidt is a good fighter, but against someone young with the stamina of Captain America, with his skill & strength? I don't see Ozy winning this.
movie cap was plain stupid. he had about 2 weeks of training and magically became a great fighter. i get the fact that he`s peak human but he`s not a skilled fighter. on the other hand Adrian is also peak human but he`s also the most skilled fighter in the world. so the fight goes to Ozy
people saying stale mate or cap loses don't know much in the avengers cap threw down with loki while all ozy did was beat on two untrained vigilantes and a way past his prime comedian, now the bullet catching feat was okay but not worth mentioning i mean cap was tanking hydra feats plus he managed to tank a strike from thor with his shield and he never flinched, anyone wants to disagree then you can :)
Movie Watchmen characters were almost closer to Matrix agents than real life peak human... punching brick without flinching, jumping ten feet straight up, flinging grown men around like ragdolls etc...

Ozy was doing the same things, throwing people like Rorschach and Night Owl into the air about the same distance that Cap threw that guy, but Ozy was doing it much more casually. I'd say they're about comparable in strength, with perhaps a small edge going to Ozy.
cap stomps ozy fighting rorschach and niteowl wasn't impressive cap would have done the same plus he had prep and such on them cap fought soldiers and stuff without any trouble throwing punches with loki in the avengers movie he wins ozys speed is on caps level strength goes to cap intelligence ozy i say cap wins i have so many reasons for this answer
