Lol this thread kills me . When winter soldier fought batman people actually agreed he could win yet dick and bats stalemate and now he has no chance against Bucky who isn't even on captain Americas level

Dick isn't on batmans level. Based on there last fight he showed he can hang with Bruce but he still loses every time. Bruce would beat Bucky as well just as cap would beat either Grayson or Bucky.

Batman called off the fight because it was enough. Dick than declared himself the winner. Batman wasn't knocked out, incapacitated, or dead though. He just didn't have a reason to drag the fight on anymore. I don't think its a battle forum win for nightwing.

Without shield it's close but Nightwing wins but by a close margin

But after the fight Steve takes dick out for a malt and steak because he's happy to have found a kind and respectful youngster in this day and age

@jashro44: Okay, but how can you say he isn't on Bruce level in martial arts? That fight shows that he is at least extremely close.

As for this fight, I'm guessing feats from the Grayson series aren't allowed since this is Nightwing vs Cap?

Well batman does better on average against similar enemies and there is there whole fight in Bruce Wayne fugitive. Nightwing has improved and I am willing to say he can give Bruce some diffuculty these days but I still don't think I can view him as someone in batmans league. Like compare batman and nightwings showings against william cobbs. Dick needed to use the environment to win, where as Bruce just manhandled cobbs. Plus you have the fact Bruce injuries were more severe than nightwings when they fought, and nightwing stated even if he was at 100% he probably still couldn't beat cobbs (debatable, since nightwing did do better against batman recently I guess).

I am willing to say nightwing can hold his own with batman these days I am not prepared to say a case for him winning a majority can be made. The way I see it Bruce would beat him every time but I am willing to say nightwing can make Bruce work extremely hard for the win in all those matches at his current skill level. At least those are my current thoughts. My opinion kind of flip flops on this. I find nightwing pretty hard to place where to put him, the only thing I can say is he isn't a top tier fighter.

Oh and I meant to address this but I forgot, but I believe we can use skill, physical, and tactical feats in Grayson but nightwing has his nightwing gear here.

I don't get how doing well against Bruce would really help against Steve anyway. Nightwing has never ever encountered someone that fights like Steve and Bruce fights nothing like Steve, that is someone that has stats which rival Deathstrokes and uses a shield that is almost sentient in attacking. It will bounce and attack Nightwing multiple times, and in return Nightwing might end up where Steve wants him, just like Spider-man.

I can't say the same for Nightwing. Steve has fought street levelers that are good at H2H and throwing objects, like DD and Bullseye. He's also has experience training, fighting and fighting alongside people that use various gadgets, Hawkeye, Winter Soldier, etc.

Nightwing will be surprised by two things if he thinks Steve is just a normal human in a random encounter, Steve's physical stats and how he fights and uses his shield. Captain America wont' be that surprised by agility and skill (DD) and projectiles (Hawkeye, Bullseye).

You can throw in that Captain America has the greater element of surprise on top of physical stats and skill advantage.

Why do people always bring the fight against batman as an argumen to use against/for nightwing

1-the difference is batman has raised him trained him he has much more Infos on nightwing than anyone who knows nightwing maybe bruce knows how he fights what his weakness/strengths are, how his method of fighting is. Captain America doesn't have these infos.

2-nightwing DID give batman a good fight, and it means he at least is a threat to martial artists on Batman's level, it wasn't like Bats beat him easily. Nightwing has shown improvements.

Captain America is a formidable Hand to Hand combatant and he's stronger but fighting guys like cap is something dick does very often and there's the acrobatic advantage he has over cap one shield throw and it is gone, because dick can dodge objects travelling at such speeds on a Daily basic and without it Cap at least has less chance of winning this fight and nightwing is faster than captain what means he lands more hits than cap and its just a matter of time when cap uses one of his gadgets that permanently keeps Cap down

In my opinion this fight is closer than some Viners make out to be

This is Steve Rogers Cap BTW. I think that Captain America would consistently win, but with very hard difficulty. He would definitely make him work for it. I can see Nightwing winmning a few with some lucky shots, but Cap would probably take more victories.

If this was Barnes as Cap, I can say with no fear of contradiction, with total assurance, and with ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY that Nightwing would win (and all the people who have tried to lowball or even downright dismiss Grayson's absolute stalemate with Batman are just ridiculous).

However, since this is apparently Steve----as much as I completely hate to admit it---it would be a tough fight, but---

While Nightwing brings several forms of fighting abilities, gadgets and was trained by Batman the difficulty for Nightwing is he wont be able to match Cap in strength, speed, agility. Nightwing has the fighting ability to give Cap a tough fight but Cap is still more skilled then he is and has been fighting longer then Nightwing has.
If Nightwing has a gadget that could slow down Cap or permantly stop him he should use it. But this fight will come down to stamina and while Dick is beyond human peak not even he can out due Cap in stamina. So Cap wins this fight after a long brutal fight
