Magneto (X-Men Apocalypse) VS Avengers (MCU)

Mags in Apocalypse was a PLANETARY threat. he was casually destroying cities with a thought. how would he fare against the Avengers?

bonus: would Mags be the most dangerous opponent the MCU Avengers have faced thus far?

Mags kills everyone

Avengers- Vision, Iron Man, War Machine, Falcon, Captain America, Bucky, Black Panther, Antman and Hawkeye all use or are made out of metal; they all die.

Thor can have Mjolnir taken from him. I guess Thor could keep summoning it; so it's a never ending tug of war.

Quicksilver doesn't have the reach and Scarlet doesn't have the durability; she'll eventually get crushed by a flying car. QS, again...is pointless.

This leaves the everlasting tug of war with Mjolnir and Hulk. I honestly don't know what will happen. Mags can stay out of Hulk's reach and control anything thrown at him by Hulk (like a truck), but Mags isn't able to drop Hulk either.

It honestly depends on who gets sloppy first. If Mags underestimated Thor or Hulk, or isn't paying attention to an attack, he can be one shotted (assuming he's not camping behind the OP shield and is on the offensive).

However, once everyone else is toast, I wonder what spamming them as fast as possible with failing cars and debris will do.

Been done. Mags Insta-crushes Vision, Iron Man, War Machine and kills the rest with Cap's shield.

Magneto kills all of them.

Only one who has a chance to do anything is Hulk and I would say it depends on the location.

Everyone else has some type of metal on their person and don't have the speed or power to compare.

Magneto godstomps 3/4 of the Avengers and just tangles with Hulk for a bit.

Together they definitely win. SW can also if she realizes the helmet blocks her TP and then TPs him. Or if she just chooses to crush him.

There are only two ways I see them winning:

1) Thor starts of with a bolt, or is able to use a lightning bolt without Mjolnir (since it'll likely be taken away) and fries Magneto. Now, in the event that it is taken, Thor can summon it back, but it'll become a tug of war, Mags and his magnetism and Thor and his worthiness. But if Thor ever uses a belt or can summon them without the hammer, def win.

2) Mags gets sloppy and isn't paying attention to something; or he stays at ground level. For instance, if the tug of war with Thor has his back turned to a Hulk lunge, he dies. But this is a stretch to. Most of the time, Mags is in the air when he's fighting. SW will be on the ground and can be hit with a car. If Hulk is shielding her, cool, but what's that doing to hurt Mags? So now you have Hulk, Thor and SW looking up at Mags, while they play power tug of war for Mjolnir. There's nothing suggesting he can't control it; it's still metal. I've always thought Odin's Magic trumped that, but someone said he's controlled it in the comics before, so, if that's true, he can control it here; and at the very least, keep it from Thor swinging it around like a madman.

Stalemate or lightning bolt, that's how it'll end IMO.

SW can fly. Magneto controls magnetism IIRC not just all metal. Mjolnir has nothing to suggest it's magnetic. Also it's pull (it moved at some serious speeds in Thor 2) and Thor's strength should overpower Magneto's magnetic ability. Also I've never seen Magneto defend against lightning and don't see how he can.

There's also the fact that Magneto has been hit in the past by being surrounded by too many people (like 4 decent fighters, even some of them metal), so that should play a big factor in here as well.

And yes Mags in the comics controlled Mjolnir, but the comics aren't canon to the movies and Mjolnir is stated and shown magnetic in the comics. Comic Mags is 10000x stronger and would be stomped by comic SW, Hulk, and Thor (he's lost to Thor 1v1).

Magneto can't win unless he's trying 120% to kill everyone and even then Hulk and Thor should take him. IMO.

We can't say Mcu mags can manipulate asgardian metal. If we assume he can, then thor would have some difficult time. Actually, Thor could shoot lightning as soon as thr battle starts and mags is dead. Thor still solos.

This very strongly depends on if either side has knowledge on each other. From OP I assume Mags is on a rage filled rampage like he was in Apocalypse and the avengers show up to stop him. If that is the case Iron informs everyone what they are up against. Hulk or Thor protect Wanda while she tries to stop him with TK noticing her TP won't work because of helmet. Then can Hulk or Thor break through Mags shield. If Mags drops shield or if hulk/thor can even just get a fist through the shield then Ant could surprise attack him. Basically just comes down to can Hulk or Thor get through the shield if yes they stomp if not Mags has to BFR them. And even then if Ant stay out of sight or QS he could possible get a surprise attack in. I'm going Avengers 6/10 most of team is useless.

Erik did not get his Powers amplified like the other horse men, Apocalypse showed him his full potential when magneto destroyed the buildings in Auschwitz.

Definitely see Thor and Hulk taking this. Magneto would have to take time to defeat one of these and all it takes is one hit to stop Magneto.

Mabneto is very efficient at taking the quickest way out of the battle. He can kill everyone except Thor and hulk riht off the bat, And if he cant take them down he does wat he did to Logan with bfr
