Nolan Bane
H2H Only (Wick is uninjured)
I've only seen the first film and unless Wick gets some wicked feats in his second film, Bane completely stomps him, Wick lost h2h against a random henchman in the club from the first film
Shouldn't that be a feat for the Henchman? I mean there's no rule that says all henchman are incompetent.
@zetsumoto: No but there's an unspoken rule, regardless even if we treat it as a feat for the henchman that just proves Wick gets stomped by Bane, Wick wasn't amazing in h2h

No there isn't. Even in Bruce Lee movies there are occasionally random mooks that fight on level with him. It's realistic. For all we know that random henchman is a former navy seal with the backstory of an action-hero who just happened to get a job as a bodyguard. That does happen you know.
Haven't seen John Wick: Chapter II yet, but I'd be surprised if Wick wins this.
This for me too.
His hand to hand wasn't bad, but it wasn't really that great either.

Yes there is for the most part, when the characters mow through fodder you see it as a skill feat for them rather than showing how incompetent the crooks are, there are occasions like in the Raid where enemies are more skilled but in general if a character gets their arse kicked by a random no name it's bad. And Bruce Lee films aren't the best examples since his genre is kung fu. And there is no 'for all we know' that's speculation, he wasn't even given a name or any hype to back up his skill. All we know is that he's a henchman.

He doesn't need a name or hype. He fought on equal terms with John Wick, therefore he is comparable to John Wick. John takes out mooks by the dozen, randomly running into trouble with a single mook doesn't negate all of his previous feats.
Netflix Daredevil also almost got his ass kicked by a random hit-man. Does that mean DD is the same tier as a random marvel hitmen, or that said hitman happens to be DD tier?

Yea, and when they run into a random crook who is able to fight on equal terms with the character who mowed through fodder, that means that said random crook happens to be above the other crooks.
What makes a "named character" is their plot relevance, not their skill.

@goodfella: forgot to hit reply
Ok
@zetsumoto: He wasn't a random henchman. He was Isoefs personal protector, Viggos lead muscle and head of the security team.
He took John down a second time when they took him captive and he gave the "Yeah I'm thinking I'm back," speech.
Anyway, Bane should probably smash Wick purely hand to hand.
John has a great Jiu Jitsu game, but I can't see that being effective here.
Wicks strengths seem to be in weapons. Knifes, pencils, and of course, the gun.
Give him a blade, he guts Bane, but fist to fist, Wick just hits a dude who will just keep coming.
After just having seen John Wick: Chapter 2, this fight is a complete mismatch and should be locked. Wick brings nothing to the table.
H2H Bane stomps. This is a mismatch. It would be a mismatch the other way if standard gear was allowed.
Having now seen the masterpiece that is John Wick: Chapter II.... Bane wins quite decisively, he's just a much better fighter and physically dominant.
@rogueshadow: Is it that good? I was worried it would have went like Taken did.

Watch it, man... Goddamn...

Did they kill his guinea pig?

No. They tried to, but he murdered them all.
No. They tried too, but he murdered them all.
With a F****** pencil?
I accidentally showed up to see John Wick: Chapter 2 on the wrong day. :(
It's all good now though, I've seen it. :)
@goodfella: Actually... yes.
As per the rules of CV, there was no location given meaning this takes place in a generic, populated city street.
If I google 'populated city street', this is the first picture that comes up:
Now inside that small red circle is a sign. I'm not sure how many of you here read Japanese, but that sign says 'free pencils'.
With a fresh supply of pencils on hand, I think you all know how this match is going to end.
Wick goddamn graphite stomps.
Nolan Bane destroys him. Wick is more of a grappler than a stand-up fighter. He'll get outboxed and outstruck immediately. He's too slow and lacks any defense. Unless he manages to close the distance and get Bane on the ground, Bane will piece him up on the feet. I only see him running into Bane's fists every time.
