Green Phoenix and Proteus already fought twice. The first encounter was just after Proteus emerged from his cell, he was starving and had no idea how to properly use his powers. Jean beat him then. The second time they fought was after Proteus had replenished his strength by consuming several people and had attained some skill over his powers.
It hurt her to follow his killing spree telepathically..........he was invisible to her telepathic detection.........and he defeated her at her own game the second time they fought.
CitizenBane.. are you saying Proteus wins because he beat her once?? you have to also look at the conditions of this battle and then compare it to the one where he faught her in.. this battle includes a bloodlusted "out of morals" phoenix..has green phoenix ever faught bloodlusted and out of morals? i don't think that fight alone ensures proteus's win in this battle. i'm not sure who i'm voting for yet, but my opinion won't be based on a fight where in this that particular form, she normally holds back... a lot. i'll wait for more contenders. enjoy the thread friend :D

She was ready and willing to kill him, which suggest she wasn't holding back. Still lost.

Jean makes him bite the curb then stompd him in her flip flops!!!! ha but no really its hard to tell b/c lasttime they encountered echother "green phoenix" wasnt as powerful as she is concidered today.
I'm not seeing how telepathy works since Jean said Proteus was invisible to her telepathic abilities (she was only able to pinpoint his location by hearing the mental death screams of his victims) and Psylocke said she couldn't open her mind fully in his presence for fear that he'd reach through and touch it.
As for telekinesis, Magneto shot them both into space on a giant rock and Proteus just shot it back down.

I love Psylocke and respect her, but her telepathy is no match for Jean's even without Phoenix. With Phoenix, she will obliterate Psylocke at any time.
We are talking about Jean as Green Phoenix. She can do same thing effortlessly....
The thing I want to point out is that now Jean as a part of Phoenix Force has better understanding about her power...I mean she even separates Phoenix from Emma against PF's will during Endsong.(Even Galactus has to build a machine to do such thing)

She still cannot warp reality. What is your basis for claiming that this particular version of Jean is more powerful than Proteus? Can I see some Green Phoenix feats to that effect?
i cant i dont have any pictures or scans. but the phoenix caould destroy the universe proteus cant also if the phoenix were n her true form and had her memories the phoenix wouldve been able to defeat protus quite easily

Green Phoenix cannot destroy the universe either. You are confusing this Jean with the Phoenix Force.
Based on what? During the period of time that she was Green Phoenix, she fought Proteus and lost. She only ever beat a noob version of Proteus, and sustained damage nonetheless.

She claimed that she was going to kill him, and several times it was said that her power was flaring within her at previously unseen levels. So what is your rationale for the claim that she wasn't going all out? Or are you just saying that because she lost?

So in another words, you have no proof of her possessing any higher power level during her Green Phoenix days? If you do, present it.

Dark Phoenix and Green Phoenix are not equal in power. Dark Phoenix consumed a star and acquired a considerably greater amount of energy.

They are not equal in power. Dark Phoenix was amped by the energy of a star. Green Phoenix was not. You don't need to prove something that's incorrect.
