Lancer has two spears, long spear and a short spear (their names are in irish so i wont even try to spell them and im too lazy to google)

Both have curses upon them. The Long spear nullifies magic, disrupting the magic circuit flow of the person struck (magical energy flow basically, one could compare it to chakra only magic).

However the real problem is the short spear. Its curse makes any wounds it inflicts unhealable.

Hidan might not be able to die, but he relies on his healing to prevent being incapacitated and keep fighting. If Lancer were to cut his arms off, or his head off, he wouldn't be able to heal himself.

Could Lancer blitz? Overall he holds the stat advantage and I'd say he's more skilled.

@giliad: mmmmmm..... The only way I think that Hidan can win is that by luck he achieves in summoning his curse. The long lance may nullify magic, but can he do it when it is not activated?

Lancer wins. One of his spears Gáe Buidhe: Yellow Rose of Mortality that inflicts wounds that cannot be healed plus he is far more skilled then hidan in close combat.

No i don't believe so, his Gae Dearg is not powerful enough to permanently sever magic at the source but rather upon contact severs and disperses magic e.g. it would essentially phase through magic armours and defences and it could slice magical beings like a knife through butter but it would not destroy them with a single touch.

However i do believe that attacks from Gae Dearg would not result in damage to Lancer himself.

As for the battle i think Lancer would have this one in the bag, Hidian would likely think himself indestructible only to suffer a blow from Lancer's Gae Buide and realise that he is in fact vulnerable to his spear. From here he may try a lot harder but Lancer isn't one to play around and i suspect his attack will be fatal or lethal, similar to when he severed the tendons in Saber's arm.

Lancer really is one of the most 'incompatible' opponents that Hidian could have.

Hidan is an idiot he loses this.

I would definitely put them at supersonic. But hyper-sonic. It's been a while since I watched the series. The only instance where they may have been battling and hyper-sonic speeds is when Archer and beserker were fighting in the air in. Archer was in his ship and I believe that beserker took control of a jet. But I could be wrong. They may actually be hyper-sonic in battle. I just don't remember them being that fast.

They are easily hypersonic in novels and author auggests they can fight at light speed though I believe this is hyperbole

Diarmuid. He has more combat experience than Hidan at first glance, it should also be noted that his Noble Phantasm is the perfect counter against him. He will end up incapacitating him before the ninja finishes the curse ritual.
