The battle setting is a present day ravaged and post-apocalyptic Manhattan New York. This is a showdown to the death between these two with no help from any other heros for He-Man and no other villans for Darkseid.
Both have there powers at full strength Both have all their weapons at their disposal Both have no idea what the other is capable of
Probably would go with Darkseid on this. Don't see how He-Man would get past the Omega Beams.
It probably wouldn't even hurt him. He-Mans only weaknesses are certain kinds of technology (why he blocks laser fire with his sword, that ...and it looks cool) and Magic (or Skeletor wouldn't be much of an arch nemesis) Nothing else has been evidenced to even hurt him

Well, its not really debatable as Filmation He-Man was essentially SA Supes...in the way that he could do whatever the episode needed him to do...and he has never been shown to be vulnerable to physical force or energy based attacks, unless it came from a laser weapon or some crap
Due to He-Man being a kids show, he wasn't allowed to punch or kick anyone, so to compensate He-Man just threw his enemies out of play constantly...He-Mans the master of BFR, if anyone gets BFR'd...its Darksied

The fight between He-Man and Superman is often exaggerated, its more of a tussle than an actual throw down, and Superman actually kind of wins....that comic its from is not really any kind of canon anyway, its almost impossible to canonize He-Man as he has like 5 different versions, It is stated He-Man is at his strongest in the rules though, that means ridiculous Filmation series He-Man (80's cartoon) That guy had no weakness and could essentially do anything. He would win....unless of course your a DC fanboy (sorry for being BOLD text, lol, my computer is wierd)
@progenitor: the power sword is strong enough to deflect the beams without any damage to it. its all left to the imagination whether or not He-Man can handle an Omega beam blast though

@a88378438: First off this is the He-man Vs Darkseid thread, not He-man vs superman. Second of all, is the fact that He-man's strength and sword are magical. Which means Superman would take the equal force of being hit by himself against a regular human. AND He-mans sword being magical can pierce through Supes skin and muscles. Since superman can not detect magic based on its chaotic wavelengths would me he would think the sword of power would not hurt him at all until it was too late.
now back to the fight. I would say if the battle was straight up blow for blows and no weapons or omega beams, then it would be an epic fight which comes down to strength and endurance. He-man would have a slight edge over that. only slight. Darkseid is anything but relentless so it would make a great fight. The thing with the Omega Beam/Sanction is the fact it is not defined on what it clearly does. that is why it is called omega cause it can do just about anything. though its affects against magic are unknown. it would be hard to say what effect it would have on the sword of power if he-man tried to deflect it.
OB could just phase through the sword and hit He-Man. Even if it can't kill him, which I highly doubt, it can 'port him into the heart of a supernova or something.
