The battle takes place on The Brooklyn Bridge
Morals is on for both battlers.
Which do you think would win?!
I took these from a GA Superman respect thread. GA Superman seems to be stronger (threw a 6-7 ton monster a mile out to sea, lifts a tank, submarine, and an ocean liner [though the liner was underwater]) , quite a bit faster (running at at least 250 mph and faster than a handgun bullet), and much more durable (falls onto metal spikes, the spikes bend over and he is completely unharmed, punches what looks like a hundred ton boulder into pieces, tanks a torpedo, and totally bulletproof).
Though he doesn't demonstrate fantastic fighting skills, at least from the scans I've seen, he has more than a physical leg up on Spidey and isn't slow like some of the bricks Spiderman has beaten. Morals are not a weakness here, seeing as both are of the adamantly heroic type - in other words, the playing field is leveled there. Also, keep in mind that there are already a few of these threads.
@kalelofsteel: Not even after the feats I've shown
Golden Age Superman beat (or stalemated) IIRC Silver Age Superman. He was still around during the Silver Age and was never retconned at the time.
EDIT: But if you want just his Pre-Silver Age feats, then he still wins. He jumped from Metropolis to Europe in a single leap, he was hit by a nuke and survived, and he gave GA Captain Marvel a good fight (he is well above Spidey).
Superman still wins. I applaud the Spider-Man scans though. He's long overdue for a dedicated respect thread on this site.
spiderman wins
