Unicron's energies are not compatible with Galactus. He can't devour the energy as Unicron cannot support permanent Organic life.

If Galactus devours his home world, he'll defeat Unicron

Unicron is his own homeworld. And no he can't devour unicron. Unicron's energies are not compatible.

His control of energy is such that he could drain the energy from Unicrn, without absorbing it he is sh chooses.

Also, Galactus is capable of teleporting so in theory avoid Unicron, staying away from his attacks.

Unicron's energy is undrainable only his creations could do so and that's because they were a part of him. And Unicron also has power on par with Galactus. He can destroy a jupiter sized planet by act of will alone. He did this to show off to a God mode Optimus Supreme who still kicked his ass any way. And If unicron dies we all die as his death will create a black hole that would destroy the omniverse. Also Unicron has destroyed entire universes Galactus hasn't done so to even one universe. The chaos-bringer can also infect Galactus with a chaos virus that would destabilize his existance.

I don't say that Galactus defeats Unicron easily but Galactus has a range of powers than can manipulate matter and energy at a level equal to (and possibly surpassing those) of a celestial.

He has the power of a contained star. He has demonstrated (in Fantastic Four) to be able to transport objects through time (in this case the Sphinx). Could he not teleport Unicron forward or backward in time to a destructive point (end of the universe) or simply teleport Unicrom in to the heart of a star to disintegrate him ?

If Unicron's destruction would result in a blackhole, then why didn't ablack hole form when he was destroyed by the Autobots (ref this sites entry on Unicron) ?

Would a chaos virus work on an organic like Galactus ?

His spark still survived if it is extinguished then the black hole forms. Unicron did use his chaos on a organic world in a alternate universe with the same old unicron as he is omniversal all life just went up and died.

It matters not if a blackhole formed after the fact as Galactus had won.

Anyway we have seen the Surfer skirt a blackhole and survive so Galactus should be able to manage and he teleport anyway in the 0.0001 seconds after Unicron's defeat
