But we're talking in a fight, that's not technically defeating, that's (teleportation/using alternate method of banishing)...in a flat out fight, DD has the big edge here and destroy DS.
doomsday beat darkseid in superman/doomsday: hunter/prey # 1 so i'll have to say that doomsday wins ( i also like doomsday way better but i still backed up my answer with an actual fact)
There's also been times where Supes has put the hurt on DS and could have killed him but didn't ^ one of them shows that via scans ^ lol. DD messed up DS pretty bad I'd say...
For those that dont know darkseid is capable of affecting the evolutionary process(validus) and he can just as esily turn doomsday here in to the baby or creature that he was before that berthon guy or whatever he calls himself made him. Hunter prey was a bad example ,it was written at a time when DC writers were trying to make doomsday in to some universal threat ,his encounters with the GLC and guardians were proof of that ,but at the end of the day he is still a dumb monster who has an accelerated evolution process.
Darkseid by BFR removal. If he must kill him he can BFR then put in a bit of book reading and develop a way to kill him which is entirely possible given that Doomsdays abilities aren't magical so are fully susceptible to being reverse engineered.

Darkseid is a notorious sufferer of the forgotten power syndrome.
Think of it like this, your in Stephen Hawkings body and your up against a guy in cage match who is indestructible 7 feet tall and built like a door except you can also shoot laser beams out of your eyes that follow someone and teleport them anywhere in time and space.
@dextersinister: normally i would vote for the teleporter guy but apparently people can just dodge the undodgeable or blind him, which superman has done, or knee him in the face, and blind him like doomsday did in that scan.

Doomsday depending on wich version hunter prey we already know beat darkseid because of his near instant adaption but I'm sure there are other versions of darkseid that could crush DD

Darkseid first blasts dafuq outta Doomsday with the Omega Beams, an' Darkseid says "fool...no one can withstand the power of mighty Darkseid" but Doomsday gets mad an' smashes the ground with his fists an' makes the ground a bit shaky, givin' Doomsday time ta engage Darkseid hand-to-hand before Darkseid blasts him again. Then he punches Darkseid in the face, knee kicks him in the solar plexus, grabs his legs an' body slams him. Then Darkseid charges the Omega Effect an' punches Doomsday in the face with a combo of his massive brawn combined with the Omega Effect, causin' a some real damage ta Doomsday an' pushes him back, then Darkseid rushes t'wards him an' keep punchin', an' punchin', an' punchin', but Doomsday gets pi**ed an' punches back, an' sends him flyin' into a wall. Then Darkseid says "impressive, beast….but such brutishness is beneath me" an' charges the full force of the Omega Beams an' fires it at Doomsday, an' destroys him after a bit.
I like Doomsday a bit better, but Darkseid would probably win (Doomsday beat an avatar of Darkseid, not the real one).
Removing DD from the battlefield so he doesn't hurt him is the only DS will ultimately win, because he doesn't have anything to permanently keep DD down, so bfr is his only best option, imo.
