I was thinking about how, back in the 80's/90's, I always favored Thor over Superman. However, over time, I've come to change my opinion on the outcome. Now I feel that Superman would take the majority (6/10.) This change came about due to nukmerous battle threads on the subject as well as the fcat that both characters have different feats than when I first though about the fight. Same goes for Batman vs. Wolverine. I used to say Bruce wins but now give it to Logan. Am I alone? Are there any fights you all have originally felt would go one way but now think differently? What are they and why'd you change your mind?

I'm telling you now your wrong about the Batman vs. Wolverine
Explain... I call a stalemate
Anyways, growing up with Hulk comics, video games, movies, etc. I was brainwashed to think he was actually the strongest one there is.... My mistake.

Much as it pains me, I've changed stances on Batman vs. Captain America (I used to think Batman could compete), and the Spectre vs. the Living Tribunal (I want Spectre to win but it isn't happening).

I used to think Storm would lose most battles. But now, after joining Comcivine, I started to become convinced that Storm was omnipotent.

+1
I've changed my opinions about:
DC character that are suppoused to be FTL - they're not.
I've changed my opinion about Celestials - I belive that they are barely above Skyfathers, not close to Galactus.
I belived that strength is the only thing that matters in fights between brutes. For example, since Hercules has better strength feats than normal Hulk, then he has to win. He won't win, since his durability is levels below Hulk's.
For long I thought that Classic Strange was a real power house even without prep - he isn't.
I didn't know that Surfer and Thor have so many powers.
I changed my opinions of geeks. Apparently geeks aren't always smart and don't know the basis and mythology behind some powers and characters so they rate some heroes over others in battles (based on feats that are either PIS/CIS/WIS or writer not understanding other cultures) even though a particular character has tools that another character is weak to but fanboys just won't buy it.
In other words, KNOW YOUR MYTHOLOGY before spouting stuff.

I used to think debating nicely would get people to change their minds when they were wrong. I changed my opinion on that. It's better to completely dismantle them instead so it sticks.
Nice guys finish last?

@progenitor: Nice guys don't even get started let alone finish

Not always. I just mean to flat out destroy the wrong arguments and people who think they are right on it. Being nice just isn't gonna cut it sometimes. I mean, I'm not a total D-bag but I've debated aggressively and certain people on here you can have an awesome yet respectful debate with. You and me for example have debated Cheetara vs Wesker respectfully (and still are) Wolverine vs Wesker respectfully, Cyclops vs Wesker respectfully and Wolverine vs Captain America respectfully.

Wrap your brain around that and you get a golf clap.

That's how I feel about the most powerful character of all time.....MOLE MAN!!!

Mole Man is pretty boss. Vulture is his only true competition.
WRONG!!! Mole Man's only competition......isArseFace.

@Erik: Psh. Arseface has nothing on classic Egg-Fu. And I mean classic, fu man chu, racist, Wonder Woman villain Egg Fu. Or better yet the dreaded, Hemo-Goblin. The AIDS infected vampire created by white supremacists to infect all minorites with AIDS and defeat Extrano, the Spanish, homosexual magician.

Hooooooooly crap. Hemo-Goblin might be a contender here.

*comforts* That's only almost always true. lol
Edit: Also Hemo-Goblin must face the wrath of the Brown Bomber

Wolverine does not use any skill in most fights. He loses control in his rage mode. Making him do dumb decisions giving batman a level headed guy till somebody messes with his son an advantage.
