Nick and Steve are in a Manhattan street fighting to the death. Steve has his shield. No guns allowed. Both are in character and this is a random encounter.
Easy stomp for Nick but in character neither would kill with out a gooooood reason so there's that.

@never_give_up said it for me. But yes TK like that wins easily. especially in a random encounter with out any knowledge Cap will likely throw the shield and then game over. sorry it took so long for my response.

But if Cap throws the shield, Nick won't throw it back with TK in character because that would kill Cap instantly.
So we have Nick Grant who has some low level TK ( I know there is a comic series or novel and i know he was meant to get signficantly more powerful, even more than that guard) however, its low level Telekinesis. Low control and power output. However is Captain America throws that shield, Nick can manipulate it back or grab it for his own protection and use it to TK spam or ragdoll Captain America. Simple. Also, when it comes to combat, he sucks. America would slap him forever, however his physical attacks are kinetically amplified by TK. So his hits would hurt CA.
