bb screams don't produce sound waves.. that is not what causes the damage.. it all comes from bb releasing energy-filled electron blasts that disrupts the atomic structure of everything it comes in contact with;the electrons is what causes the matter in the area, to combust... the sound waves thing is a stereotype, i know what magneto has done, i know how big his range is. Bigger is not always better, For instance black bolt having complete control over electrons a molecular level is a feat more impressive by using his powers to replicate matter manipulation and reality warping, i.e creating things out of thin air...

First of, I'd like to ask excuses for my agressive behaviour. Second, I wonder what exactly is a "quasi-sonic" scream? I do not have that much knowledge about Black Bolt as you may have already noticed.

Several decades ago, Black Bolt has received several upgrades since then.

This is too funny, if magneto had that sort of power he would crush the earth and all the x men on it, but no, if he had such molecular EMP mastery, he would be standing up to pre-retcon molecule man, Whit Crown Phoenix, Classic dr Strange, Thanos, Galactus, Silver Surfer, Odin, Cyttorak, Shuma-Gorath, Dormammu, Zeus and others of that level, but he does not, and cannot channel that level of power.

Magneto, but Black Bolt have about equal share of winning (slightly less).

Black Bolt's powers come from manipulating electrons....Magneto is the master of electromagnetism.

This is a tough one, two of my favourite characters. I'm going to have to go with Magneto. His shields should be able to last a blast or two giving him enough time to pull a win.

Magneto's shield is totally going to stand up to Black Bolt's shout. The smoke is going to clear and Magneto is going to still be standing. But barely. He's going to throw some metal that Black Bolt then dodges with his superhuman speed, or parries with his superhuman strength, or freaking transmutes into harmlessness with his superhuman matter transmutation power. BB responds by whispering "stay down." Magneto responds to that by obliging.

Magneto may be more versatile but Bolt is much more powerful. He destroyed a whole city with a mere whisper.

does that matter? people say black bolts scream is a planet-buster. how many nukes would have to detonate to bust earth? probably a hell of alot.

Is his voice really a planet-buster? Namor tanked his scream recently IIRC. Current Mags gets demolished but Classic Mag's shields might hold up then he could control the blood in BB.

Don't want to call you out but, since when did Magnus show ability to control light, sound and the such? Do you have scans? At least a scan of him controling sound, which is the most factor deciding power considering BB's principal attack.

Depends if Mag's shields can withstand a scream. If not he falls to Bolt.

Mags grabs a massive asteroid from space and crashes it into the moon, killing BB and his stupid inhumans. He dip dip potato chips the pieces. The resulting tidal devastation on earth eliminates the majority of humans, serving a nice secondary purpose.

Magneto doesn't control electrons with the same ease as he does ferromagnetic materials. As you can see on your second scan, he needed "time" needed to "get close".

I'm not saying either one wins or looses, but assuming Magnus could shut down BB's powers and tear him appart is an overstatement.

This should be very close at least. Both rivals are incredibly powerful.

@dextersinister1: @buckwheat: Magneto did that while he was Lifting an asteroid and Proteus was turning his blood into lead. Also, Proteus is psionic energy which is not part of the EM spectrum. But even under those conditions Mags figured it out. Still that's a last resort and a high end feat.

Proteus is a reality warper composed of pure energy. Much more dangerous then BB.

This isn't really close a close battle. Black bolt won't start off screaming. But even if he did Mags shields has tanked attacks from Thor, Phoenix and nukes.

Black bolt has a tuning fork on his head. Magneto destroys it and BB can't control his powers.

Or Mags reverses his blood flow or takes control of his body.
