Who/what would it take to defeat the Emporer?
- Star Wars EU only
- Use up to any three characters, preferably less
- Everyone in character
- Win by death/incapacitation
- Takes place aboard an empty space hanger
- All EU Force powers and feats apply
Who/what would it take to defeat the Emporer?
Luke Skywalker soloes.
Abeloth soloes.
Any of the Ones solo.
Any of the Bedlam Spirits solo-stomp.
No prep is necessary for any of them.

I'll throw in Yoda, Mace Windu, Satele Shan and Darth Bane to make it a stomp.
The only person who can react here is Yoda, which is pointless because then Sidious will defeat him.
@KnightRise: Luke Skywalker can solo (not in a stomp, but he could win)
Yoda, Jacen Solo at Oneness and Satele Shan might possibly be able to kill Sidious.
THe Ones of Mortis, Abeloth Bedlam Spirits can all win.

Jacen Solo at Oneness is a plot-device, not his actual power. Satele can't react anyways. Yes, Jacen at Oneness can solo, because at that point he became the most powerful Jedi in history, making him even more powerful than Luke Skywalker (of course, temporarily).

Not sure what difference that makes.
@JamesKM716: Why do you think Satele Shan would be able to face Sidious? @ShootingNova says otherwise.

I don't know, but Satele cannot react.

My thinking was that Yoda could rival him and Satele could supplement that, but it doesn't really matter. Jacen at Oneness level along with Yoda could defeat Sidious.
Yes it's a plot-device but if Jacen were at that level he coulda killed Sidious. That's all my point is.
Sidious may not be as powerful as I thought....
Try not to use enhancements or anything like Oneness. Straight up lightsaber and Force powers, please :)

yoda, mace, and kanobi destroy him and turn him in to nothingness.

Revan solos
Revan was curbstomped by Vitiate's lightning, honestly, what feats does he have that even remotely touch Palpatine?

Ignore the two above posts I quoted, because none of them (save for Yoda, who would then be certainly defeated) can even react.

I have.

Lets make this MORE interesting. What is the bare minimum team to beat Sidious and why. We already saw slaughter scenarios like Luke, Mace and Yoda.
Pretty much this^. I'm gradually editing the OP.
And neither Mace nor Yoda would kill the Emperor solo (or together IMO), but thats another thread entirely thats already been done before.

@SlimJ87D: I don't think mace windu would beat palpatine. i'm not a star wars expert but if he were as powerful as palpatine I would think the jedi he had backing him up wouldn't have died...I heard mace was amped when he fought papatine.
I think he meant Yoda, Mace, Luke combined would stomp Palpatine.

Luke and Yoda would be keeping Palpatine busy enough for the others to possibly get in a hit or two.
@guttridgeb: I thought you meant purely Yoda, Windu, Satele and Bane. But you could have added plenty of others, including Plagueis and Tenebrous and Vitiate.

I don't feel like mentioning Luke. So:
Darth Caedus
Darth Plagueis
Yoda
Certainly more than enough.
I almost thought you were saying this individually, LOL. Because if it was individual, they would lose. As a team, it's a stomp/near-stomp.

Oh no. One-on-one, they lose. I'm confident that any two of them in any combination would be enough. Alone, they would put up a decent fight. Three of them stomp.
Luke and Yoda to keep Palpatine's force powers nullified and occupied, and Grievous to best him at a purely lightsaber level.

Pause. I made this thread because I wanted to know what it takes to beat the Emperor. General Grevious is literally a nonfactor from what I've seen. No way he keeps up if it were he and Yoda, while NJO Luke solos according to the highers.
