Aquaman vs. Wonder Woman

@bats_colony, Aquaman is INDEED awesome. But the sexy, beautiful, accomplished Wonder Woman---an "EYESORE"?? You might wanna RECONSIDER that!

Underwater, Diana's strength, durability and especially speed & skill still outweighs Arthur's stats and whatever he can dish out. I think WW can take it in a tricky and rough fight.

aquaman is a 1000 tons in water, and controls fish in the water he would win barely but hurts himself in battle one

He also has telepathy which could easily disorient her enough for him kill her but it he isn't going in to kill I think WW would take the land round

WW on land. She's still faster, stronger and a better fighter.

Round 2 might be tricky but I think she still comes out on top. Plus, she has been underwater before. She should still be able to swim at decent speeds considering how she's not necessarily a normal human, and on top of that she could always use Zeus lightning underwater and fry Aquaman's butt with some magical lightning:

As for the telepathy, I believe Diana has some telepathic resistance but I believe it only encompasses the form of illusions and mirages. Either way even underwater I don't think Aquaman's fast enough to use his telepathy before Wonder Woman incaps or koes him.

The version of Wonder Woman being used is Pre 52 who had telepathic/illusion resistance/immunity thank the the eyes of Athena. She was immune to mind control from Maxwell Lord who was able to control Superman. Aquaman stands no chance trying to mess with her on that end also he's too slow to attempt to.

@evil_incarnate: She might be stronger but in the Flashpoint scan she almost died within seconds of fighting in water she would have no chance and she wouldn't be able to take a trident in the face or chest and he is the king of the sea so he could call a sea monster to distract her and keep calling animals until he lands a fatal blow

Flashpoint isn't cannon in any sense. It's an alternate timeline.

Because it's an alternate timeline. If things that happened there were still considered cannon than that means Captain Marvel was killed by Wonder Woman, Bruce Wayne is dead and his father is Batman, etc. It didn't happen none of it did therefore it isn't cannon. New 52 is cannon because the universe was reset and this is actual continuity.

I posted a aquaman respect thread above that shows aquaman can dominate a morals off wonder woman which is cannon because it set cannon events into play

It's still an alternate timeline where things were different. It would be like trying to use feats from Age of Apocalypse for standard X-Men feats.

It's probably not more so the fact that they're not non cannon as in current continuity Batman and Flash have knowledge of these alternate events, but even if you looked at the battle between the two of them Wonder Woman didn't use her skill to the best of her ability, which either means...

1. Aquaman and Wonder Woman have comparable strength, speed and durability meaning he's also in the same class as Superman and Captain Marvel as within the same series Wonder Woman was able to fight, defeat and kill Captain Thunder (Captain Marvel).
2. Wonder Woman fought Aquaman not using her powers to the max as to make it a fair battle between the two, which would make it PIS/CIS.
3. Flashpoint's version of Aquaman is Superman/Wonder Woman/Captain Marvel level.

That would also be like using that version of Superman for regular feats, which that version was severely weakened.

@evil_incarnate: Pretty much. There was a point where Wonder Woman blitz him and it should've been game over. The movie was actually good although it should had more characters. Using those feats is like using Kingdom's Come feats.

saying wonder woman would win in an underwater fight kinda shows the fanaticism of some WW fans. She'd be hard pressed to beat him while his in complete control of that environment its like saying a condor would lose to a snake if they were fighting in the middle of the sky :/

both would be tough fights for their opponents, but on land, WW Sea, its definitely aquaman

Im no Aquaman expert, but i see pretty much all vs threads with him ending in defeat...is he really that weak of a character? I mean i thought his trident and hand made him much much stronger then he used to be plus ive seen scans of him lifting buildings and the like
