As Amazo possesses the speed of the Flash and the strength of Superman, he can have killed most of his opponents before anyone even realises that he has attacked. Most of the heroes in that picture won't survive a full power punch from Superman. For those that do survive, he can mentally attack them while intangible.

Certainly not a curbstomp especially if you consider that the Avengers shown above appear to be their initial incarnations - so at their power levels when they first joined the Avengers. The costumes prove that.

So Scarlet Witch does have massive reality altering powers, Thor has no Thorforce, the Ironman armours are primative and their resident speedster, Quicksilver, can run at 175mph and react at 5x the reaction speed of a human. Physically the team has few members who can even pose a threat to Superman level of durability.
And before anyone says that magical attacks will effect Amazo then, remeber that he also has the durability levels (that are slightly lower) of the Martian Manhunter and Wonder Woman.
He even has a GL ring to protect himself with.

They have a telepath or 2 but Moondragon  and the like are not in the league of the Martian Manhunter.

There may be a lot of members on show but before anyone can react, using the Flashes speed and a GL energy scythe (if he wanted), Amazo will have killed over 50% of them. Many of them only have atheletic to enhanced human refelexes and durability. Their heads would be rolling on the floor before Capt America had yelled Avengers Assemble (and he would not get that out as his head would be on the floor as well).

As this battle has no prep time, non of the team will have any special defences up. Look at the baseline abilities of those people.

Black Bolt: Enhnaced human reaction speed and durability (so maybe 2 - 3 times that of Capt America).
Vision: Enhanced human reaction speed. As he is flying he has reduced his density to almost nothing but still must maintain some klevel of density to be affected by air currents.
Capt Marvel: Superhuman strength (15 tonnes - it really should be more), superhuman durability (bullet proof and has engaged super strong beings before in hand to hand like the Thing). According to marvel he did only have enhanced human reactiosn though (these were not enhanced beyond his Kree heritage by the nega bands or the solar treatments provided by an Earth scientist).
Photon: She should actually be named as Capt Marvel, since that is how she first joined and she could convert to different forms of energy. In humna form, she still only had human durability and reaction time.
Vance Astro: Normal human reaction speed and durability.

Sentry has not shown reaction speed as fast as the Flash.
Quasar's quantum bands should react to protect him but his force bubbles have been fractured by powerful beings in the past.

So all the characters named in bold don't have the reaction speed or durability to match the Flash like speed of Amazo or resist an attack from a being with the strength of Superman or a GL ring attack that can deliver more power than a nuke (on an atom wide scythe like band of energy) or a blast of heat vision that is millions of degrees celcius.

Look at the other team members who would be dead from attack as well becuase they are slow or have limited durability,

Do Amazo's adaptatiom powers allow him to replicate strength? Like, if he copied Aquaman he should also gain comparable super-strength right? (Which doesn't make sense considering his body doesn't change and has upper limits but whatever).

Well say he then copies Hulk, would he be even stronger now than with Aquaman? Hulk's main power is strength coupled with regeneration, so if Amazo copies him, could his body really withstand the same forces the Hulk can?

I still don't see why Amazo can't just speedblitz the Avengers out of existence with Flash's speed, and Superman's strength?

@randomnoob He can Speed Blitz them, probably everyone except Sentry. I am not a Marvel powerhouse, but as much as I have heard Sentry is as fast as Wally or close. Even if he did Blitz, there is nothing he can do that would take Sentry down. I am not a massive powerhouse on Amazo too, but as far as I have in comics he doesn't know how to Speed Steal which doesn't really matter because all that Speed Steal means is that he takes away their Kinetic Energy. Kinetic Energy comes from molecules moving and since Sentry as far as I know is an epic Molecule Manipulator Speed Steal would not work with him, he could just keep moving his molecules around again.

Considering these are the first incarnations of the Avengers, Amazo stomps. Most of the team is dead before a billionth of a second has passed, and the planet is similarly instantly annihilated. Amazo then uses Martian Manhunter Telepathy to read the thoughts of those present, and mind controls the more physically powerful members of the Avengers to attack the others. Hulk has plenty of resistance feats, but those are all far later in the timeline, as originally he was weak to mind control.

The Sentry and Thor might be the two main deciding factors in this one, and it might come down to a battle between Amazo, Sentry and Thor. And even then Amazo can copy their powers, becoming more powerful yet.

Avengers(since I don't recall Amazo, feat-wise, replicating a group of that potency. "Group" being the key term here, as I know he replicated the powerfully superior Worlogog, but that's apart from a combat scenario, so far as I'm aware).
