I heard someone say that the Castlevania vampires are even stronger than Dio Brando, and also have powers that affect time. Is this so I wonder? Thus this thread is born! Not to be confused with the other vampire with a similar name from Hellsing.
Alucard (Castlevania) vs Dio Brando
I've never really been that big into the Castlevania series, but I'm fairly sure Alucard takes this.
Dio wins.
Dio can stop time, freeze peoples blood, attack people with a stand that's faster than the speed of light, and he can brainwash people.
Alucard really doesn't have a chance.

@jmarshmallow: So....
No offense, but......
What exactly are you saying?
Are you asking me to argue with the other people that commented on this thread, or what?
@etheral_dreams: The World doesn't even need to stop time to be faster than the speed of light.
So, again, I really don't see how Alucard can win this.

Dio stomps.
Lightspeed+Timestop + every other basic vamp power and strength to shatter Diamond wall with a hit.
He can also enslave anything by giving it a drop if his blood combine that with timestop and yeah this is a stomp.
@kingofash: I love both characters but I see Alucard winning here.
He has none of the Dio's flaws and can stop time too.
And his weaponry i so broken.
And he can morph in an intangible mist.
The time stop of Dio was around 9 seconds at the end of Jojo.
I guess that Alucard can see The World because of his supernatural nature.
Dio wins.
He is not only FTL, can stop time with his Stand but he is also the better fighter although I think Alucard has an edge when it comes to versatility and experience.
Dio is not FTL no matter how people try to push this. If he is FTL then time stop would not be needed. Meanwhile Alucard also has time freezing gear in the Stopwatch.
In Castlevania 3 which Alucard is in, the in game effect freezes everyone on screen for 3 seconds.
In Castlevania Symphony of the Night the affect lasts for 4 seconds.
Alucard is also packing more powers that are useful like intangibility.
Alucard can transform into a mist. When upgraded this mist becomes highly toxic, killing foes in seconds.
Supernatural force fields.
Alucard Shield is his personnel shield that is superior to any other shield in the game series. The shield spell when caste grants Alucard 3 seconds of Invulnerability off the bat. It also grants high resistance to all forms of damage (Fire, Ice, Holy, Dark, Lightning, Physical), and grants a small HP drain on hit against foes for 80 seconds. So to recap, in 80 seconds time frame Alucard gets invulnerability for first 3 seconds, followed by high resistance to all damage (Roughly halving damage taken), and grants 8 HP per hit Soul Steal ability. All in 80 seconds.
And the infamous Soul Steal spell.
Alucard is able to suck the life energy of foes around him to kill them and heal himself.
Alucard Soul Steal is powerful enough to shatter few feet of solid stone.
Alucard uses Soul Steal to explode several monsters, armor and all, into pieces.
Dio gets wrecked.
