I can't do the whole "1 year prep" thing. It gets rediculous. You could find enough explosives to just blow the world upside in that case in a comic world. I'll give it to slade here because his universe has more destructive capability and better technology but I don't like these huge prep scenarios

Mismatch. There is literally nothing in 47s verse that he could prep to 1. Counter slades speed and stats and 2. Get through his armor and gear.

Also then theres the possibility of how Crazy DC tech is. Slade with an entire year of prep could probably Create a power suit in that time to give him some kryptonian stats or something...
