The animals have perfect teamwork and wouldn't attack each other. The cats are bloodlusted and hungry!! Fight in the middle of a forest. Men are in peak condition(real world standards), in their middle 20's and each of them get a wooden club. Who wins? Man vs Beast.

Sheer numbers. Attacks from all sides+wooden clubs = dead cats. And their numbers will be depleted before all the men die.

With prep, the men take this. Without, half die and the other half run away, thereby giving the victory to the big cats.

@darkraiden: lions and tigers won't stand there and let themselves be hit with clubs. They'll run around and pounce at the humans, I'm not seeing them getting hit all that much. Each feline has to kill 5 humans to win which is loterally a piece of cake for them.

Cats slaughter about half, then the rest run away. No one would be stupid enough to stay and fight after watching half their forces get decimated.

Any objects that can be weaponize in battleground ? And where is the battlefield ?

Cats would have better chance if they, you know, hunted like normal.

Really depends on the mental state of the men. If they are just walking along with clubs then they are going to panic and flee fairly early. If they now what they are getting into, they are likely to win because a good club swing is going to be very, very bad for the cats especially when they are trying to bite the throat out of one then get set upon by the others nearby and, finally, if these men are also bloodthirsted, or are protecting their families in a nearby village or what not, they utterly stomp the cats.

Possibly humans.

Not much room to move with 100 humans surrounding them. And less than 5 men have killed a lion before.

If each cat is taken on by 5 men each, they could do it.

A group of 5 peak humans can efficiently kill a Single Big cat with minimal casualties. Single bare handed humans have fought off grown bears. Hell an Old man with a knife killed a bear after a fight , literally punching it for the kill and then dragged himself miles back to civilization. An Old not peak man. Imho, Bear>Big Cat.

@darkraiden: a lion or a tiger that charges forward will go through those men like a bowling ball, surrounded or not.

And maybe 5 men could kill a lion with swords or spears. Wooden clubs are a very poor choice of weapon for this fight and should not make that big of a difference.

Humans stomp. A blow to the nutsack or a grab and the cats are out for the count.

If the cats are using teamwork this is incredibly easy for them considering they'd have stealth no way the men would try and stand and fight 20 lions and tigers they couldn't even corner off one it could just charge through them cats take it.

People on this site underestimate humans.

If the cats didn't have teamwork and they weren't bloodlusted, and the men had perfect teamwork and were bloodlusted, I might go with the men as long as their clubs were good and sturdy.

Do you guys know how scary a man with a club can be?, Back then when there were beasts that were more ferocious than the Lions and tigers of tody, our ancestors were able to survive with clubs. We can say men are weaker in the present day compared to previously but so are the cats.

I think the men would stomp because of their shear number and how deadly the clubs can be. The cats may have a durable body but their skull is not that durable. A single good hit to the head with the club would be all it takes to take the cat down.

But they're peak humans. Even real world standards, that's enough.

And a lion or tiger charging forward meets a club to the head. Hard. And then they get surrounded and beat on until they die.

The men aren't bloodlusted and aren't confinded to an area? They all run.

The Lions and Tigers will stop and devour who ever the end up catching since they're starving. It's as the saying goes, you don't have to be the fastest. You just have to be faster than your slowest friend.

In any case Cats win.

Okay, you have to be mentally silly to think the cats takes this. This happens in the real world, guys. The cats don't have a long history of winning this which is why some were going extinct before guns even became mainstream. Do you guys know how hard a club actually hits? We're talking peak athletes here so let us look at professional baseball players. A baseball player usually swings their bat at about 80 or 90 miles per an hour (I think, someone else can verify). A tiger can casually generate enough force to deal a lethal blow too, but this is irrelevant. Why? IT'S A TIGER. It has two fore paws for attacks and it's mouth. It has a long body and it's ass end is entirely vulnerable. One solid hit is all it takes to damage it's rear leg and that significantly hurts it's fantastic leaping ability.

Biology and Zoology are sorta my thing. There is no way that the cats could ever win this. The team work means absolutely nothing. This has been going on for thousands of years, guys. You can put just about any animal up there and it'll still be a stomp for humans. Elephants and mooses maybe, but if you switch clubs to spears they'd bleed out.

Thats 20 big cats total. Will need more humans in order to have a chance. Cats win

@darkraiden: no, it really isn't enough. A lion can leap forward over 30 feet, that's how strong they are. Even someone like Hafthor Bjornsson would drop like a toy if a lion or a tiger charges toward him. I still hold my opinion that cats win with minimal to no casualties.

Hundreds of trained gladiators get killed when they introduce cats into the frey. Much less a group of men who wouldn't know how to deliver effective strikes.

What are they going to do? Line them up like it's a baseball bat? Most humans wouldn't know how to hit something fatally. Heck give the men swords and the 50% of them will end up cutting themselves.

20 big cats is a recipe for a lot of dead humans, peak or not. Give the humans chainsaws and then we're talking a more fair game. They may have the overwhelming numbers advantage, but the cats are a lot burlier, quicker, more keen on the senses, and FFS they're bloodlusted and working together, which the humans are not. A few extraordinary cases of men fighting off big cats/other animals doesn't negate the superiority of the cats in the base stats.

A club swing is barely going to affect a fully grown lion or tiger.

Essentially, 5 men per cat. I imagine if they were reasonably bloodlusted and with no option for retreat, the men should probably be able to beat the cats, even sacrificing one or two of them as bait so the other 3 can pound on the arms and legs and head of the cat. I am not sure if you could break a lion's forearm with a club but I would guess you could.

There's a reason we are at the top of the food chain and cave men didn't die out. We tend to use weapons well and work well in groups.
