It's Batman's 75th anniversary and we all -- okay, most of us -- love seeing Bruce Wayne as the Dark Knight, but every now and then, Wayne can't wear the cowl and someone else needs to step into his intimidating boots. Whether it's suffering a major injury, "dying" or getting too old for crime fighting, there have been multiple times where other characters have assumed the mantle and showed the world what their version of the Caped Crusader is like.

Six options immediately come to mind: Jean-Paul Valley, Jason Todd, Dick Grayson, Damian Wayne, Tim Drake, and Terry McGinnis. Some obviously had much more time to wear cowl than others did, but each brought different changes to the iconic costume and revealed how they act as the famous character. This week, we want to know which Batman replacement is your favorite!

Do you want to re-read their appearances as Batman or give this some extra thought before voting? Well, there's no need to rush because the poll will stay open until Thursday morning (ET). That's more than enough time to think this through and pick a character, isn't it?

After you've sided with one of these choices, go on and tell the world why you think they're the coolest Batman replacement. Is it because of changes to the attire? The different personality and approach they bring to the table? All of the above? Get your elaboration on in the comments section and, if your post is solid enough, there's a chance we'll feature it in the results article. So, who will it be, Viners?

Be sure to check the homepage on Thursday for the results and more! Do you have a great idea for a future edition of the Question of the Week? If so, feel free to share it below or via Twitter.

Want to keep celebrating our latest Character of the Month? Well, he's currently fighting Shredder (click here to vote) and we posted his Best Covers.

Thought it would be best to limit it to people who took the role after Bruce instead of adding all of the Elseworlds options, otherwise that opens the door to a poll with a lot of options (Red Son, Owlman, etc). Figured the poll may be closer if it's limited to just the main 6 which followed Bruce.

I love them all, so it's really tough! I might have to go with Dick Grayson, because it was the first time I didn't think he was boring since he was on the Teen Titans. I thought he worked much better when he played off other heroes. I would have liked if he stayed Batman actually, because I really enjoyed the lighter tone, and loved his relationship with the other members of the Bat-family.

Dang this is a tough one. I like the thought that Dick being like the oldest son of Bruce taking over the mantle for his father. Then again I like Terry being Batman when I was kid. Hmm tough one.

Jean Paul valley did the best job. He fought pretty much all of his villains successfully, including bane who had just broken Batman's back.

It's Dick. I has always been Dick. It will always be Dick.

But in case I'm saying the word dick too many times I'll give Tim my secondary vote. He is the best detective after all.

Gregg said that a character who already won CotM won't appear again.

Jason Todd (Red Hood, New 52.) I feel like Jason's moved past his daddy issues that were basically his only motivation for anything before the New 52, and has learned to appreciate his friends and even has his own code of honor. He's become reformed, in a sense.

Plus, admit it. You loved his Batman suit. >:3

My vote goes to Terry. My love of Batman mostly developed from watching the animated series after school. Eventually that lead to watching Batman Beyond. Those two shows along with The Spiderman and X-men runs on in the 90's are what got me into comics. So basically Terry gets my vote because he's the only who had his own TV show as Batman

None of them. People don't seem to realize that Bruce Wayne is Batman. Replacements to heroes like Batman (or Cap, Thor etc) come across as bad cosplay. These heroes are not Batman any more then this guy is.

Lots of context as the transition from the golden age to the silver occurred. The modern trend isn't to reinvigorate comics as DC did when it introduced the silver age Flash, or made Green Lantern an alien story instead of a supernatural one.

It's all just a attempt to get some attention. It won't stick more then a year most times and I'm sure it alienate fans who are told anybody can be their favorite hero because he isn't unique. It's actually one of the biggest issues I have with DC, and moreso with Marvel these days.

Dick Grayson has already proved he's the one to properly replace Batman.

I dont think Terry should be in this. He is not a replacement Batman, he is a successor. Its different. Dick replaced Bruce, but Bruce is not really able to BE Batman anymore in the Beyond era.
