Baron Mordo Revealed on the Set of 'Doctor Strange'

More photos are coming out from the set of Doctor Strange, which is scheduled to hit theaters on November 4, 2016. Last week, we got to see Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange. Now, photos have hit the net of Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo.

Of course, there's also a picture of Cumberbatch hanging out of a window. Mordo's outfit looks pretty cool and feels like the Mordo from the comics. What do you think?

I love this guy. He's such an awesome actor.

I just wish he wasn't Mordo. Cause he'll either die or just go away...unless you're Loki, you just stop showing up and that's a bummer. I want him to be play a larger role in the MCU.

Looks nothing like Mordo, unless hes a composite of Mordo and another character.

I dont care that the dude is black, it could not matter less. Only way to make it a bad call is if they Wally West him and give him a super stereotypical "ethnic background".

They use the same excuse in Fantastic 4.

One would assume the casting director didn't want to limit the character based on race or gender. They liked what they saw out of Chiwetel Ejiofor and offered him to come in and read for the part as they did a ton of other people. And in doing so they liked him more than the others, thus they offered him the role. What's so difficult to understand about that?

This is looking great! I love the casting so far, but I assuming the same people getting their panties in a bunch over Chiwetel Ejiofor are gonna love seeing the new Ancient One...

I really don't care that Mordo is black...No more than I do with Fury, Perry White, and Jimmy James Olsen.

Chiwetel will do a awesome job IMHO.

honestly i always thought Mordo was Asian in the comics, so they wouldn't even need to force diversity into this

He was actually Eastern European - and I have no problem with any of this. I have been a Dr Strange super fan for...15(?) years. This movie will be great.

Chitwel will crush it, he was awesome in Serenity. I'm hoping for Strange's costume to look like the one from the animated movie.

I think there's a bit of Brother Voodoo in there.

Anyway, I don't have any problem with Chiwetel playing Mordo as long the character's personality remains the same( Which I doubt since MCU sucks at doing that).

They better reveal the main villain soon too.

Stop limiting races to characters. There are excellent actors of all colors.

Look really awesome so far. I REALLY want to see Strange in his costume though.

How are you being hurt by this? Was Mordo one of your favorite characters? Doub it. Would the movie be better if they had cast some average skilled white actor in the role? Doubt it. Sometimes the best actor for the role isn't a white dude. If he was some random black actor with no credits and was cast in the role, then I would understand, but he is one of the best in the world right now.

I hope Mordo stays on, Chiwetel is an awesome actor.

I don't get the complaints about the race change, it's not like his ethnicity is key to his character.

I'm fine with Mordo being black, I just don't really like the robe-ish look right now.

@ramior: Your entire rant is pretty narrow minded. I understand when the character is iconic or when race is part of the character's background. But in the case of Mordo, neither is the case. The reality is also that the world isn't the same as when a lot of these characters were created 40+ years ago and this is the natural progression of the medium.

Baron Mordo is the archenemy of Dr Strange and the "natural progression of medium" is a bullshit excuse for ethnic change, you want black character? Use existing black character or creat one or at lest peak a obsucr character.
