RULES : VERY IMPORTANT 

- HAL JORDAN... <--- notice periods. ( this isn't draw your favorite lantern. In light of the Green Lantern Movie I thought it would be cool if we drew GL but HAL JORDAN before he went batshit insane (no batman pun intended)  
 
That's it, pretty simple right? No tricks or gimmicks here.  
 
NOT REQUIRED : bonus points in my eyes and a challenge to yourselves is to draw your green lantern using the rings power to create a weapon, shield, whatever it is this guy does with the ring. I don't know much about green lantern but hey some of you may like the character. All in all you can draw whatever the hell you like, make up your own costume, whatever as long as it's HAL JORDAN.

Ah, I thought maybe you were confused about who it was since he doesn't have a stupid lookin' crab mask. That costume is probably the best Kyle has ever looked. The padding part makes it a little too textile-y for my taste and I don't know why anyone needs a belt around their neck, with belt loops and everything, though. Maybe Kyle was into auto-erotic asphyxiation?

So I drew this and by the time I finished I realised that I had put the ring on the wrong hand so I feel like such a stupid idiot and its kinda a bad mistake so sorry about that but here is my entry.

Even if you're not happy with your art, as long as you practice you will get to a higher level. Believe it or not at some point in my teens my art looked just like any of your guys, I really wish it wasn't destroyed so I could prove it.

@FrischDVH: What was your intention for putting it on the left hand? I uploaded mine backwards first by accident even though ComicCrazy did and tonis corrected it. It's okay to make mistakes, you don't have to make up a cover story for it...jk, seriously though why did you purposefully put it on the left hand?

I personally don't care what hand it goes on to be honest lol If I didn't watch "the history of DC comics" ppv I wouldn't of known which hand was the right one. Hence why I said the original artist kept drawing it on whatever hand he felt like and it drove his editors nuts.

Quite all right, I just didn't think anyone wanted to be bothered with what might seem like a long drawn out explanation. The Latin word for for left, left handedness and unlucky is "Sinister". When facing his mirror image in Parallax Hal, Hal is forced to fight fire with fire. Putting the ring on the left hand is a nod to Sinestro who was a member of the Yellow Lantern Corps, whose icon was Parallax. Long way around to a simple point I guess.

om1kron cmon buddy there is no need to draw all the teeth just a couple of indications gives a far better result. On the upside it is a male but do that to a female and I will be forced to he-bitch-man-slap ya =). So far yours is the best from what I have seen.

Don't be too hasty there is always people on this site who don't post their project and come out of nowhere to blow my entry out of the water like Mr. DVH!!!

Great inking Om1kron but i do notice that some stars became elongated rather than round... pointillism can sometimes be a pain.

it's just i don't have a lot of free time right now, so sitting down and actually drawing is difficult. hence a large part of the reason im not setting a due date on the Album Cover Contest, i want to enter it, but i don't have the time to sit down and draw. so if the contest is going to be a long one i'll have time eventually to make something nice.

I actually did that on purpose since not all stars are the same size so it was to kind of create a depth.

Holy smokes, all these other Green Lantern entries are fantastic!  Incredible work by  Om1kron, FrischDVH,  Payno, M. S. Feather, and IcePrince_X!  A lot of imagination, and fantastically rendered artwork.  Going to be hard to decide to who to vote for!
