why'd you change profile?

Not bad. For more movement in the gestures, practice the force of the pose. Try draw with C-curves to achieve that, that way your characters won't look so stiff.

Iunno abou that.Thos hands don't look like hands.There is no dimension in her arms..they are just tubes.Her waist is very skinny and no propotionate to the rest of her legs are to skinny as well.

My point was that Jean Grey is one of the oldest of these drawings, and that I've gotten better since I drew her. Though, "Thos hands don't look like hands", I'm not sure you're looking at the same thing as I am. :P

The self-portrait is very recent though (and proportionate; I do look like that, I have photo-proof...). ^^

Heh, in the photo I based the self-portrait on, there was shades below the nose and the mouth, but when I drew, it looked like a beard xDD therefore I erased it. :P

Try getting some books on how to darw comics. it will help alot.

Twilight get a little mirror and play around with shapes.  Keeping picking at it if you are like me you will never be truly satisfied with any finished piece.  Also something that helped me a lot pick up some fashion magazines or maxim and work from those pictures get some high quality paper that you like and find a pencil hardness that works for you.  I use a 5h for my rough work followed by a series of other pencils.  For colors I am really partial to prisma colors.  Ultimately you need to find what suits you best try and also break down a face into its component parts and work on reproducing those same with body parts.  Practice makes perfect and dont be afraid to pick apart your own work I do it all the time.  A great book to pick up is drawing the head and figure by Jack Hamm.

I'm sorry, but it's hard to deceipher some of your advice (English is not my native language) :p But yeah, some of these things I can do ^^ As for buying magazines...nah, I feel like that's, y'know, a bit over-the-top, drawing is just a little hobby, I don't want to spend too much money on it :p

Doesnt have to be magazines, I just like magazines cause I can turn them as I need to you can also do this with pics you find on the net.
