Looks like the costume contest sort of fell off the radar (unless I'm missing a thread somewhere), so lets keep the ball rolling.

I've been re-reading Sandman recently and one thing that jumps out particularly in the early issues is how dated Morpheus looks. He had that late 80s/early 90s Robert Smith rocker look that i'm not sure stands the test of time. So if Sandman were created today, what would Dream look like?

@shatterstar: Oh man, Robert Smith will always be....timeless... that said, a definite challenge. Pretty cool choice.

I think I finally nailed my entry but it's far from done... post on Tuesday when I have access to a scanner

OK, so I ran out of time to color this one. I'll still do so and post it when I can but for now this will have to suffice as my entry.

I gave him some goth boots and went for edgey over mystical. Both the tattoos and the hourglass would have been touched up in coloring to give off an eerie effect. I was planning on adding some rough texture to the pants and some swirled patterns to the inside of his tattered cloak. My brother also pointed out that between the ripped up cape and the chains, it was also as if I was trying to channel Spawn... while that wasn't the intention, I think there's maybe some irony in that.
