Each week we gather up the coolest comic book art you won't see in actual comics. The reason you won't is because artists often draw sketches for fun or commissions and post them on their websites, blogs, and Tumblr. Some artists even pre-arrange commissions through their websites so be sure to check them out.

Mike Henderson posted new art on his Tumblr. You can buy his original art HERE.

That's it for this week. Let us know which ones you really dug.

There's a chance we might not have an installment next week since we'll be running around NYCC. We'll do our best and hope to see you there.

Why haven't they got Philip Tan doing a black and white comic yet? His pencils are awesome and so full of depth. I'm stumped why they aren't cashing in on this.

Oh man that Mike McKone Starfire.
That Phillip Tan is insane as well. Loving Todd Nauck's as usual. The Cliff Chiang pizza dog is so sad but so good. The Marcio Takara Rogue makes me super jealous of how good it is. Pretty amazing crop of art this week!

Really fantastic choices. Some really inspiring stuff.

Do most people go with blank covers or sketch books or just commissions on what paper they choose? Probably not the place. But curious cause I just recently got into comics.

Dustin Ngyuen's Castiel made me chuckle.

And those Dick and Barbara as Robin and Batgirl/Nightwing and Oracle sketches are really great.

@hempknight757: It varies from artist to artist and person to person. Some people do have their own sketchbooks where they keep them all. That way they can choose one with heavy stock paper or just have a place to keep them all contained. Sketch covers usually are high quality paper that allows for the sketches. I have seen some sketch covers that had a glossy finish which gave an artist a tough time but he managed to make it work. Most artists do and should have their own sketch paper.

Ugh, Todd Nauck's art is so goddamn generic, I feel like I'm looking at the same stuff every week.

Agreed...I would love to see an inked and colored version of this.

But what is up with winged Iceman? I don't recall that version. I figured the most evil version of Bobby would be when he flipped out in the Age of Apocalypse (Uncanny X-Force) version and went crazy with his powers.

I think that's Miyamoto Musashi(from Vagabond). Jack has a white kimono and usually doesn't sport a beard.

You can even spot a little floating Magneto up there :)

Definitely need a colored version of this!
