well we've gotten a few months under our belt now and I wanted to centralize the information and results into a single thread that's easier to follow.

Here you'll find links to each submission & polling thread for each month as well announcements of monthly winners.

Hopefully, if there's one thread that gets pinned for the showcase it'll be this one.

Although we will be announcing winners for each month on the 15th there's an opportunity at the end of the year to revisit the polls (which NEVER stop tallying) and determine an 'Artist of the Year' for each category as well as the king or queen who manages to score the highest across all criteria.

This means your vote counts in a poll no matter when you get to it. So if you haven't made a choice in one of the months past, add your voice to the choice now ;)

thanks, I know it's not time cause there aren't enough days in the week, but I do seem to have this thing against sleep :)

That explains the mystery of the disappearing scotch tape, you've been using it to keep your eyelids open, or maybe giving yourself a face lift.

well originally it was just to keep the eyes open but it did turn out cheaper than plastic surgery :)

I still haven't figured out a good way to keep the brain from going to mush though after 40 hours.

yeah thanks for that Tonis. It doesn't really bring me down I really am just happy to be on that list of artists to me that is pretty big but yeah I spose I just gotta keep practising. Thanks tho.

I just looked back and I just realized that no artist "yet" has won Artist of the Month more than once. That just goes to show that this is anyones game !  
 
I was also thinking about maybe we should come up with some kind of prize for the winner of Artist of the Year. Not sure what but I mean whoever wins that deserves to get something. What do you think Almighty Tonis - Watcher of the Artist Showcase !

hehe, you are the sharp shooter with a radar eh ;)

yea, they'll probably never be duplicate AOM in any given year cause it's not only based on just the votes in the showcase but also the other activity that goes on with said artist in that month did on vine. It's when the 'bonus points' really add up.

I actually thought about a grand prize for the artist of the year back when I was thinking of the contest and the best thing I'd considered fitting would be a year's membership to the Whiskey Suite of entertainment.

How would that sound as the big prize :)

I have to say from the moment I first saw her work I was excited by the talent. The showcase results just reaffirmed my thoughts. Big congrats to jennifermontes as the August artist of the month with some beautifully done pieces and to all other participants for such wonderful work. :)
