DEADLINE: MARCH 10TH!!!!
Nothing beats an original and same goes for Robocop. The movie was a satirical, action, sci-fi movie. I'm sure most of you have seen it and the original was awesome. It was so great it spawned two sequels, tv shows, cartoons, toys, video games, comic books and of course the reboot which I have not seen yet. So in this challenge I'm asking you guys to submit your favorite scene from the original Robocop. There are so many to choose from. Here are some to jog your memory and get you thinking!
You'd think the future you'd have more futurist looking clothing. Even if it's future-80s you'd think we as a society would of gone away the Bahama shirts.
Detroit cops! Don't mess with them! Apparently they are trained firing double guns! I think this scene or at least some of it was shot near where I live in Dallas!
Robocop gave us Clarence and some great lines but there's also this scene that, for me, is still one of the most gruesome death scenes I've seen in a movie.
"See, I got this problem. Cops don't like me. So I don't like cops."
OCP! At a young age I became aware of corporate pigs. Even though these characters are horrible you love the performances. Especially eager ol Bob Morton.
This movie was so 80s! LOL...anywho watching all the cops, scientist and corporate yuppies gush over Robocop along with you was awesome!
You turn your brain off and enjoy this movie. But you can also read into all the social commentary behind the story and the characters. There are alot of questions in this movie. An obvious one being how far would humans go to merge people and technology. Or ignore morality of that question and replace it will black and white rules. Can we completely erase our human instinct to be free?
"Murphy! It's you!"
USB input? Infared? WiFi? Screw that! This is the 80s! Lets use a giant spike peripheral to connect to our main frame database and do computer stuff!
For as advanced and superior technology can be their only true weakness is stairs!
There are so many more but hopefully this gets you guys going and I hope to see some fun and inspiring submissions!
@shatterstar: Can you pin this?
