@zakar23: Went a little back a bit and used Storms Punk design for my base. Just fit so well with Black Canary

@zakar23: That is true, the pose doesn't help either. Probably a little juvenile of me but I couldn't get the image out of my head when I read the comp. Storm has had lots of great costumes over the years. I got introduced to her in her bathing suit and cape from classic Xmen, but the first punk version with the mohawk has always been one of her most recognisable designs to me. Black Canary, well it's all about the fishnets with her design, it's like Power Girl with the boob window, it's not her costume with out them.

I see no reason that is true.

@zakar23: no offence taken, everyone has a right to their opinion about a piece. Just stating my reasoning behind it.

@zakar23: You don't. though maybe next time we could do Black Canary as a Troll or something. Imagine the thing that stabbed Frodo in fishnet stockings

@zakar23 Sorry to jump in a non-issue..but just to remind folks as a Amalgam Contest, there will be numerous different versions of a character to choose from. So while I agree a non-African version of Storm just wouldn't seem right, but in an Amalgamated(?) character it is fair game, and a bold choice.

In any case, like the entries I have seen so far, might have to get off my butt and include a entry myself :)

Mutant Ability: Project a high frequency voice that creates a strong static reaction developing to a full scale lighting bolt that shoots out in different directions or a concentrated directed attack when voice frequency is lowered. Also known as the Lighting Cry; Has exceptional agility, speed and super strength can carry around 50 tons without breaking a sweat. Has been a trained boxer, martial artist and singer. She learned also to be an expert pick-pocket and robber when she became a runaway youth because of her family's displeasure of her being a mutant.

Distinct Features: Hair is white blond and athletic built. Her pupils also vanishes when she starts using her powers.
