Fū Yamanaka was a shinobi from Konohagakure's Yamanaka clan as well as a high-ranking ninja of the disbanded Anbu faction Root.
He was one of the trusted shinobi to Danzo in the organization called as "The Root". He was a skilled and intellect sensor type jonin class ninja. Yamanaka Clan's powers and Anbu's training make him the potential guardian for The Head of The Root.
He was captured by Tobi and murdered by Kabuto Yakushi for explanation of the Edo Tensei technique.
He was use shintenshin no jutsu (mind body switch technique) as all Yamanaka Clan members. But he also use against wood puppets which are his own creation figures. And with this way he set complicated traps against his foes.
